This is a jewel of a radio to use. It has three dials one of which is used to turn the radio on and control the volume. There is another to change from am to fm to short wave and one other type of reception. It can sit in the sun to absorb the sun’s energy for solar power and a hand crank to wind for power and batteries that can be recharged. The sound quality is very good and the long antenna helps to clarify your reception. This is a very useful radio to have when camping or when residing in a small village far from society. It’s orange and black color make it easy to find. It also has a large diameter light which comes in handy when operating in the dark.

I would give it 10 stars but there are only five. I was skeptical at first but I'm glad I did. The radio is fabulous its small but mighty. I love the size because it doesn't take a lot of space. It's very cute I picked the pink color. This is exactly was a was looking for. I haven't used the solar power yet. The only thing I can complain about is that it takes a long to charge. But I'm ok withthat I set it and forget it. For me it was a win. I recommend it I even told family members to buy one to have for the hurricane season

This little radio seems durable and well made. The volume range is excellent and is loud to pump out the tunes. Weather bands come in clear. The reading light is bright and illuminates the whole room. The flashlight feature is bight as well. The hand crank is smooth to use. Can’t wait to try out the solar charging. All in all, pretty impressed.

My mom is 91 years old. She loves weather stuff and I've got her weather radios before. She likes preparedness stuff as well. This radio looked like it did everything with good reviews so I got it for her. It was smaller than I thought it would be but she liked this aspect, it's easy for her to carry and she can actually use the flashlight. She said that the instructions were very clear. She struggles to understand instructions at times, she didn't use the ninja oven I got her because she was intimidated to even read the instructions. So if my mom says the instructions are clear, they must be very clear. Anyway, good job on this. It seems like it has everything, battery back up, phone charging, radio bands, flashlight, lantern, hand crank, solar panels. Not sure what else you could want in an emergency radio.

This is my fourth emergency radio I bought from this company. I originally bought one for myself, my uncle and my brother-in-law for Christmas. We all liked it so well I bought one for my nephew for his birthday. It does everything it claims and it's solid as a rock, very well made.

Love! Bought two, one for me and the other for a family member all in case of an emergency or to take camping. Compact, lightweight, no transistor static when turning on AM or FM radio...the clarity and quality of the sound surprised me. Better than my boom box living in my garage! Lol. Love all the modern features (ie, solar light, USB, etc) with the old, practical, survival style reliability! Haven't had to use it fully so don't know about the battery life...since it's USB chargeable. But you can also manually crank it for power if there's no battery or USB avail. The price was reasonable and the purchase was worth it. Highly recommend this particular brand!!
