Q: Is this instant miso soup vegan? I see it is marked as vegetarian, but I am not seeing any animal ingredients that would indicate it is not vegan.

I think it's vegan unless it has something in there that we're not aware of. I can only think why they would say vegetarian is where it was processed.

Q: Is this product white miso?

i believe so. liquid comes out a very light brown color.

Q: What kind of seaweed is used? Any idea what the iodine content might be?

I have no idea. This product was simple to carry for travel and did not contain MSG that was important to me.

Q: Is this item kosher? Is the "Instant Authentic Miso Soup" kosher?

It is vegetarian but no Hechshur. So it depends on whether they may use their pots for something that would not be kosher. In some of their recipes they use Bonita fish, but that is a kosher fish. I don't see any non kosher ingredients in any of their Miso soups.
