I trekked Mount Kenya September 2025 and used this stuff constantly until higher up in the mountains where you don’t get many mozzies, loved the stuff

I have very sensitive skin and a long checklist for any product I use: fragrance-free, PEG-free, no hormone disruptors, no alcohols, non-greasy, dermatologist-tested, etc. Ranger Ready checks all the boxes and actually works. I’ve tried peppermint sprays and other natural methods, but they never gave me full protection — and I ended up smelling like a candy cane. This has been a game-changer! I use it on my legs and arms during outdoor workdays, and I’m finally bite-free. If you’re also wearing sunscreen, here’s a helpful tip: apply your sunscreen first, wait 10–15 minutes, then apply Ranger Ready. I like to pat it on gently instead of rubbing to avoid disrupting my sunscreen layer or cause pilling. This way, the repellent forms a protective shield over your SPF without interfering with either product's effectiveness or active ingredients. Yes, the label says “80% other ingredients,” but I looked it up — it's just water, stabilizers, and solubilizers. Nothing toxic, irritating or hidden. There is a faint chemical scent when first sprayed into the hands, but it’s subtle and fades quickly. The texture feels slightly slick at first but dries down nicely, leaving no sticky residue. The spray nozzle works great and even has a lock feature - although mine did leak slightly in transit, it was minimal. If you’re tired of battling bites with patchy essential oil coverage and want something that truly works — this is it. It's safe, effective, and worth every penny.

This is the second bottle of this stuff I’ve had with a spray top that let me down. First one completely failed to rebound after “pulling the trigger” after using about half the bottle. Figured it was my fault and transferred the product to a different spray bottle. Fast forward to my most recent purchase and this time the sprayer trigger only rebounds about halfway. To get a full spray you have to push the spray trigger back out. Wish it was more dependable because I like the bigger grip this design affords. YMMV but I’m seeking out other brands going forward. Product works as advertised and is effective against mosquitos and ticks. Not as effective against black flies that show up on the beach in the gulf.
