Davines LOVE/Curl Hair Cream, Lightweight Leave-On Serum for Wavy and Curly Hair - Defines Curls for Better Softness & Shine without Leaving Residue with Baobab Pulp

I have wavy / curly hair that can also be blown stick straight. I have been air drying / defusing my hair now for almost 2 years and with that I will say it dries fuzzy in some places, flat on the top and ringlets in the back and underneath. This product has definitely helped me achieve curls and evenly distributed waves where I want them. There is zero frizz. ZERO. I am thrilled. The price is way too high. The bottle is way too small as it tells you to apply liberally. The smell is Lily of the Valley I think and it smells awesome. It reminds me of spring since they are one of the first flowers to come out in our yard. If you are curious...try it but be prepared to be wowed. It puts many other curly hair products to shame.

Honestly the best curl product ever (even for wavy hair). I have tried so many different products and no product gives me these amazing results: my hair feels so light (and I have very thick hair) and shiny, the curls are super defined and they hold longer and no frizz at all. I can never do my hair without this product anymore.

I have always had trouble keeping my curls smooth. When I leave my hair curly, I give sprays from the Davines OI hair milk to detangle, then with a silver-dollar sized amount of curl cream, gently work the product in. I flip my head upside down, rub the product between my hands, and basically squeeze my hair in a scrunching fashion to get the product all over. I then usually move on to makeup, letting my hair dry naturally for a bit. After that, using a high heat/low airflow setting on my hair dryer, I flip my head over and gently scrunch. Sometimes I use a diffuser, but not always. The resulting curls are pretty crisp, and not frizzy. The BEST PART is that they last at least two days. Did you hear that?!? Sleep on your curly hair, then wake up and it still looks good. Unbelievable. By day 3 it's definitely a messy bun look, because the curls are still there, but let's be real, three day old curls don't look great. I really love this product!

My hairstylist first introduced me to this product and I love it, keeps my curls tight and smells great! Also really easy to use, I just shower and apply a leave in conditioner (my ends tend to dry out) then apply a half dollar amount into my hair while scrunching and it holds. However if u use too much it does make hair stiff. Also by itself won't make my curls last thru the night, but combined with a curl shampoo (curlsmith) and curl revitializer (also curl Smith) I can go 3+ days with intact curls.

I like how it treated my curls and how soft my hair felt when I used it, but cannot give it 4 or 5 stars because of the scent; it literally stinks. After giving it a few tries I had to give up and just throw it away. I’ve replaced it with the Davines Love Hair Smoother, which has a light but pleasant scent. Although it isn’t designed specifically for curly hair, it does a good job smoothing and fighting frizz.

EDIT - lets tone down the hype. This stuff does shape my curls nicely but also VERY drying. wont be purchasing again I am always experimenting with new curly hair products and decided to give this a try. My hair is Caucasian, very curly with looser spirals and quite thin. I struggle with finding good products because the heavier creams weigh down my thin strands so I loose the curl. This stuff works perfectly! very lightweight; creates and holds beautiful curls without weighing down. Its still soft (no crunch!) and very touchable without sticky residue left on your hands. I saw reviews about the smell - it doesnt smell great but i wouldnt say its awful either. This stuff works so well i dont care about the smell. FYI I combine this product with detangler and foam curling product in the shower. I apply this out of the shower after hair has been sitting in a towel (plop method) for a few min with the praying hands + scrunching method. Also a good but lightweight conditioner is necessary! (I know the curly girl struggle so I hope the detail helps someone (: ) I found my new favorite product! This stuff is amazing and i will likely be ordering more from this line next!

Most curl creams are too heavy for my fine, low porosity hair. This one is very runny so it’s easy to work it through your hair and it doesn’t take all day to air dry. I tried to find a less cheap option but this is the holy grail for me!

This hair cream is excellent. It’s a bit pricey, but my son absolutely loves it. I believe it’s the best product for his curly hair.
