It's inexpensive. It works. He's back.
My sweet and loving 13 year young 23 pound half Main Coon, Louie, wobbled across the floor to jump up on my lap one day 2 months ago. I thought to myself you're getting older and your joints must be hurting you just like mine are. I did a little research and wound up buying Cosquin capsules for him. The directions were 2 a day for 4 months and 1 a day thereafter. I pulled apart the capsules and mixed the powder in with his wet food. He didn't notice the medicine at all. Within 1 week he was not wobbling any more and he was playing with his toys more often. Now it's as though he's gone back in time and chases around the house like he did years ago. I've got my huge baby back and I love it. He is getting 1 a day until he crosses The Rainbow Bridge.

Cosequin seems to be helping after 1wk. No side affects Ike prednisone.
I had my feline girl Jamie on prednisone for a couple of months due to arthritis ( in her back right leg area) which was causing her pain and was limiting her mobility. I know how prednisone can affect our body if taken for too long so decided to research so other OTC meds to switch Jamie to. Finally decided on Cosequin by Nutramax. I had heard about it from a friend who had a feline girl and had great success.Couple if reasons why I switched Jamie over. She weighs around 17lbs (big girl) but dosage is only 2x day for 4wks and then 1xday. It is tasteless ( Jamie is fussy) so capsule can be opened and powder mixed with wet food. Just finished week 1 and her coat looks better and softer. She's not lifting her arthritic leg up when sitting ( she was while on prednisone) . Cosequin doesn't cause additional hunger and weight gain.I'm very pleased with the results after only one week. I will continue to monitor the results in a weekly update review and hopefully Jamie will be doing much better.

It works!
My cat is 14 now. At the time of my first purchase he was 12 about to turn 13. I started noticing every week or so I would come home from work and he would be limping. It wasnโt consistent, it was always different leg. I have hardwood floors and I assumed he was jumping off of the couch or the dresser onto the floor and hurting himself. He would be limping for days and wouldnโt want to go outside. I donโt have kids yet and he has been my fur baby for over a decade so it means everything to me to prolong my time with him for as long as possible. I got this and since he started taking it he has not ONCE begun to limp again. I give him a single capsule every night with his wet food, I just open the capsule and sprinkle it on top and he loves it. No need to mix it in. Heโs always been a picky eater so thatโs a testament to the flavor. He has never had an issue digesting it. I am so thankful for this product. It gives him a vigor that I havenโt seen in a while. A single bottle lasts months, with one capsule a day. If your cat has mobility issues, this is the one. Just get it. Itโs one thousand percent worth every penny.

Seem to have helped my cat
My cat has kidney issues which causes FIC and bladder dysfunction with spasms. She was peeing everywhere. She was crying out in pain when she went in the cat box. It was just very difficult. The vet told me to try these pills and after about a month of her taking one with her food every day she is significantly better. she doesnโt howl as much in the cat box sheโs not peeing everywhere like she was so thatโs the biggest plus. She just seems a lot more comfortable less reactions in her bladder . This isnโt only for the bladder. This is supposed to just rebuild tissues in an old cats body so itโs good for muscles, joints, issues, pains and aches, but I was told this does rebuild back the bladder wall.

Cat loves it and much improved movements and sturdier joints.
This supplement is amazing! My 19 year old cat started loosing muscle and not running around. Just touching one hip would almost make her tip over. This was recommended by a vet to me and my picky cat loved the sprinkles on her food and would even lick it up if she didnโt feel like eating. She is more energetic her hips are sturdier. And she is now running around a bit each day and happy. This is second purchase and will not be my last!!

Recommended for older cats with health issues and/or who may also suffer from osteoarthritis...
Good for older adult cats who tend to suffer from joint pains. Follow directions on bottle. Simply open a capsule and empty the finely powdered contents into their food, typically twice daily for the first 30 days. After that, once daily is sufficient. This is an 80 count bottle so it should last you about 6 to 7 weeks. No odor, and although I can't be sure how it tastes, my own cat didn't have any problems eating it when mixed with his own dietary food. This supplement contains Glucosamine, a natural amino sugar found in humans, dogs, and cats cartilage and fluid surrounding the joints, and is the same supplement given to humans to reduce symptoms of osteoarthritis. That said, I can highly recommend this product for your elderly cat as it was recommended by my own vet. Always check w/ your own veterinarian to be sure, but this product is specifically formulated for small felines, and is generally considered perfectly safe for all cats, w/ no adverse affects, even when used w/ prescription dietary foods. Highly recommended for older cats w/ health issues and/or who may be suffering from possible osteoarthritis due to old age.

My boy is feeling good!
I didnโt really expect this to work, my boy hates wet food and he is incredibly picky.I sprinkle the capsules into his water bowl, and not only is he getting the benefit of the supplement, itโs upping his water intake too. So a double win!I have seen noticeable improvements in how he is getting around. Heโs back to jumping on things like a pro, some of which I hadnโt thought about before until you walk into the kitchen and oh look, the cat can get up there again.Heโs also started grooming his back end again, which the lack of grooming is what led me to the vet, and the arthritis diagnosis.Iโm pleased with his improvement, and hope this keeps him comfortable for a long time.

Helped my cat
My cat responded imidiately to this supplement. It was like she was my cat I always knew. She had been crying/ hiding/ limping. Within 2 days she was her old self. She ate it easily in a tube of ' salty cat' . She now begs me for more!

Cons - Not a cure, such is life*.Pros - 1) Works immediate and better than just glucosamine alone. Used in conjunction with monthly jabs and cat's claw supplement.2) Affordable.3) Readily available online.4) Easy to mix into food and accepted without fuss.Cat can now enjoy her grooming and full body stretches again.*Above con is in jest, Cosequin is a godsend!

Seems to do the trick
My boy is already on Solensia injections once a month, but he seemed a bit uncertain and cautious, occasionally still pulling fur out where he felt some pain.I've added 1 capsule of Cosequin to his diet daily, and he's definitely improved. He's not pulling fur out anymore, he's moving around more and overall appears to be more comfortable.

I am ordering this for the second time for my Aging Cats (18+ years old)
I've been using this product for more than 6 months. I bought this product twice. I open the capsule and dissolve the content in water and then use a syringe to give it to my cats very quickly. It seems to help my senior cats relax and sleep in the morning. Also, I think its helping with mobility and joints as they still can climb stairs. I pair this product with Aktivait from VetPlus and it help my cats cope with againg with less pain and stress. I hope the price doesnt change as it keeps going up.Update after 7 months of use:I am writing an update to help others with aging cats, hopefully someone read this review and find it helpful. This supplement seems to work for my senior cats (18+). I've been using it for more than 6 months now and will order my 3rd bottle. I use it in combination with other medication to help with dementia (Aktivait from VetPlus + Aprylic from VetPlus + Calmex). Both of my senior cats mobility improved from week 1 and they started climbing stairs/ jumping again and sometimes running. Also, it improved their sleeping pattern (even when they skip their Alzaheimer medication). However, it is frustrating that the price on Amazon keeps increasing. I will start looking for alternatives if the price on Amazon keeps going up. Please consider revising your prices.
