Waiting for the flowers...
It's a very interesting process! The seeds have sprouted already on the 3rd day! Only one seed didn't want to sprout. I was changing water every day. At certain point I've noticed that the sprouts become like brownish and I thought that it might be because of sunlight lacking. So, afterwards I was putting them under the direct sunlight. After 2 weeks they had already pretty developed roots, so I prepared the soil like it was explained in some YouTube videos (80% mud soil and 20% organic soil) and planted them in 3 different bowls. I decided to put the soil not directly on the bottom, but in a small plastic containers, covering it with some white pebbles, so that I could replant my lotus flowers more easily if needed in a future. Now will wait for the flowers! If they come, I will update my review

Expensive Mold
I bought 3 packs of these lotus seeds, three large tanks, two bags of aquatic soil, aquatic fertilizer that I haven’t used, and four gallows of distilled water. I spent $100 and it was all a waste. I followed the directions exactly. Bowls are in a bright sunny window. Plants grew stringy to 12 inches tall in the water and some formed small lily pads on the surface. And then came the misty mold, which formed all over the plants in the water. I bought hydrogen peroxide to kill the mold.,it worked a little, but eventually the mold got worse. I just dumped the first tank. The other two have mold now too. Don’t waste your money. HAS ANYONE SEEN ANY CUSTOMER PHOTOS WITH FLOWERS? Nope. I’d like to be refunded but it’s too late. What a scam.

Hoping they keep thriving
So, this is the first time i laid my hands on these seeds. I live in the Dominican Republic so it is considered a tropical, hot weather country. As you can see, i took pictures every few days and the last picture was day 16. I only germinated 4 seeds as i did my research and saw that each seed can develop several leaves and my pond is not that big. Also, i wanted to give it a try first just in case. All 4 seeds developed roots and leaves. I would recommend to change the water daily before planting them in soil. After planting them, it gets difficult cause i don't want the water to turn dark and muddy. Because of this, the water hasn't develop the green thingy yet. As of now I'm waiting for floating leaves and i really recommend to expose your plant to 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Since i live here, i remove it from the sun from 12 to 2 pm since the sun is too hot and the water can also get too hot and damage the roots. Im really enjoying the process and its really fun to watch it grow. Its worth the price and they didnt develop mold. Ill update this in case anything happens.

They Germinated, but Never Bloomed
I bought these seeds with high hopes, carefully following all the instructions, but after three months, not a single one bloomed. -Germination: The seeds did germinate without any issues, which initially gave me hope for good growth. -Growing Conditions: I planted them outdoors, with half-day sunlight, using the recommended soil and following all care instructions. -Growth Without Flowers: Even though the seeds seemed to be of good quality, none of them managed to flower. By probability, at least one should have bloomed, but that didn’t happen. -Possible Bad Luck: It might have just been unlucky with this particular batch, but the experience was disappointing. Conclusion: While the seeds do germinate, I can’t guarantee they will bloom. If you decide to buy them, keep in mind that results may vary. I’ve attached photos so you can see how they’ve grown so far.

Grows fast.
So far so good. I started them in a small bowl. I never actually changed the water out… just kept adding water when it was low. I just transferred it with some pebbles and gems and clean water to this Easter basket from Walmart. We’ll see what happens next! Update: August 1, 2025 second photo. Started this in February indoors, moved to a big pot outside & left it out there. I’m in NY btw. & this is the progress. I bought 2 packs btw. I’m excited to see if a flower will appear.
