Are there peanuts in this seed?

There are no peanuts that I know of in this seed.

Are these unhulled seeds?

No these seeds are whole that the birds crack with their beaks to obtain the moist contents inside the outer shell that protects the seed they consume. They are very adept at cracking the outer shell to get at the consumable inside they enjoy to sustain them.

The description says the seeds are hulled and then fortified but comments here say the seeds are not hulled. Is there sugar in this?

Some of the seeds are hulled: the oats and one of the millions, to avoid non-edible bulk in the package. There is no added sugar and no added fat in this seed mix and no pellets.

I just received my order today. the manufacture date is august 2016, which is almost two years ago. is this normal, or did i get shipped an old bag?

That doesn't sound too good. Doesn't it have an expiration date. My seeds are usually good for two years after I purchase them. I would contact the manufacturer. Seeds lose their nutritional value with time.
