Alpicool Portable Refrigerator

I bought this to replace my 12v Coleman as its fan was starting to go and temperature control was impossible (even when the fan was 100% functional). My biggest use of this is conventions and gatherings. It's great to pack perishable supplies for the drive down. Since it uses an actual compressor, temperature control is excellent at +/- 5°F. I inadvertently ran this unit on the (included) AC power adapter for several months (where does the time go?) non-stop. Never hiccuped. Kept the water bottles nice and cold the whole time. It makes a great backup or overflow fridge! I went to loan it to my mother when her refrigerator went out. I left it in my car all day at work and forgot to crack the windows. When I plugged it up, it registered 104°F. Roughly 30 minutes later, it was down to 32°F running on 12V power during the commute back. I can see this being great for taking items to the work potluck where fridge space can get scarce, having perfectly chilled (cold, but not too cold) drinks on hand for a day at the park, or picking up frozen/refrigerated items from that warehouse club or farmers market that's just outside the range of where you trust the items not to thaw before you get home.

I had purchased several of the big and heavy molded coolers to have on hand before I had run across these refrigerator freezers. I found them to be amazing. You can have a refrigerator freezer that can run from a 12 volt lighter socket in a car is amazing. I had owned one of the dielectric units produced by another company and as they would cool, they used a lot of power. One had even gotten the socket so hot that it melted. I have not had anything close to that problem with these units. I now own this one and their smallest unit as well. They cool very rapidly. You can almost just stand and watch the temperature dropping. The great thing is that they have a very low power consumption. I have ran one an entire day and checked the plug and it was not even warm. All I can say is I am amazed at how good these work. I have used as both a refrigerator and freezer and they do both well. Yes they will freeze and freeze solid. I like the fact that you can hook up to ac with the included adapter as well. After purchasing these from Amazon, I have now sold the extremely heavy white molded coolers and now have these much lighter units. This model even comes with the dolly. A great product in my personal opinion. I received the items very quickly with Amazon Prime.

I love this cooler!!! Very convenient eliminated the need for ice which makes for less mess! Way more room accessible as well wish I had known about these long time ago!

I took this camping for 2 weeks straight. Fully charged it with the external battery (bought separately and you need this or it’s basically useless without/it’s about $100). However, I fully charged it and put it on eco mode with ice packs in there to help it stay cold and it lasted about 3-4 days! I was seriously impressed. After the battery died it did take a very long time to get it charged again but it keeps things cool, has a plug at the bottom to drain it, and I liked that you could change the voltage settings. I recharged it at a RV hook up station at my tent camp site :)

Just went on three week trip from florida to Colorado through texas. outside was 100 to 110 deg and even during the night this cooler kept water at 34 Deg. so it was just before freezing.. Never took out of the car and never even came close to killing battery (had it set to F2) . I have igloo and ice-king power coolers and they are both going to friends.. I will use this great little cooler... ( and YES it can show F* but it is not printed in directions how.. A small oversight.. THINGS I WOULD CHANGE! The plastic holding the plug in is not extra supported. I WOULD SET A SUPPORT BEHIND BUILDER!! So just be careful when plugging or unplugging cord..

Been using while traveling in my van for about 4 months.

So far, this thing is amazing! After reading the reviews, I was worried if this cooler would actually hold an accurate temperature or not be able to make ice as some reviewers had problems apparently. Happily, I have none of those issues. First thing I did was put a Bluetooth, graphing thermometer inside, and set the temperature to refrigerator temp of 40°F and let it sit for 24 hours. Everything went perfect. It kept temp. and only cycled on for about 8 minutes every hour. With some quick math I could get 10 days if refrigerator mode with my current battery. Not bad. Next, I tested it as a freezer. I set the temperature to 16°F and out in room temp. water into 3" thick cubed ice molds and went to bed. They were all frozen solid in the morning, and I'm very happy with performance. It cycled on 3 times per hour, about 8 minutes each time...so almost 50% duty cycle in freezer mode. I could only get 2 days of freezer temps with my current battery (less if constantly opening door) so likely I will use this as a refrigerator not a freezer, although it did work fine to freeze stuff. I'm curious if other reviewers got dud units, or maybe had it in Eco mode by accident...but mine works flawlessly. Now, all that's left is to test reliability long term. If this thing dies in 6 months or less I'd be disappointed and likely shop for another brand. If it can last a few years, I'd definitely buy another one.

Esta nevera ya es otro nivel. Tiene compresor y puede viajar sin problemas en el maletero del coche. La llevamos de camping siempre y te olvidas de si hace calor o no, siempre mantiene la temperatura que le fijas. Hay que tener en cuenta que al ser una nevera de cubeta es mucho mas incomoda que una normal, pero ya sabes donde te metes. En cuanto a esta marca estamos muy contentos pues ofrece las mismas prestaciones que otras marcas de largo prestigio en el tiempo y no tiene nada que envidiarlas. Además la compramos en una oferta del 30% rebajada con lo que aun nos gustó mucho mas. La recomiendo sin dudarlo, pero atención al peso para quien no pueda manejar mucho, pues hay que recordar que lleva un compresor para enfriar.

Tolles Gerät, welches auch im Einsatz von mehreren Wochen hervorragend funktioniert. Ich habe dieses Gerät im Auto mitdabei und nehme es jeweils beim einem Halt mit ins Hotelzimmer oder in die Ferienwohnung. Jetzt hat die ganze Familie den Kühlschrank immer dabei. Die Kühlleistung ist hervorragend und extrem schnell bei 7°C. Wir verwenden es zudem auch um grössere Früchte wie Wassermelonen zu kühlen. Möchte dieses Gerät nicht mehr missen und würde auch mehr Sterne bewerten. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!!!

Ero scettico prima di acquistare, ma mi sono ricreduto il compressore anche di notte non si sente, la capienza è molta e devo anche aggiungere che sia l'app da scaricare è molta comoda inoltre la temperatura viene raggiunta in tempi brevi come indicato. Lunica pecca forse il libretto delle istruzioni potrebbe anche essere inserita la lingua Italiana.
