Great for preschoolers and toddlers
I don’t often write reviews but felt I should with this. My son wanted a “ride on ambulance” and this was the only one I could find. It looked small and expensive but I bought it regardless. It’s actually extremely well made and very maneuvrable, he rides all over the house on it and loves it!

Durable and loved by kids
I’ve bought this Italtrike Truck 3 times — 2 for my boys and 1 as a gift! It’s super sturdy, smooth to ride, and the kids absolutely love it. The design is adorable and perfect for indoor play. Definitely one of the best toddler ride-ons — worth every penny!

Toddler loves it!
I bought this for my 19 month old since he has similar ride-on toys at daycare that he loves. This thing is awesome! It glides and turns so well on hard wood, it can really get moving! Doesn't work as well on carpet though. He still loves it. I know the weight limit says 100 lbs, but I'm closer to 150lbs and I've scooted around on it, no problem (it's a blast). He puts his legs up and has me push him around the house, all the time. When you're pushing them, it tips over easily when you're humming around a corner, so heads up on that. Solid purchase, would definitely recommend.

BEST toddler/preschool ride-on! - detailed review of features
We bought the Italtrike La Cosa Ambulance and I absolutely LOVE it! Erhem I mean my son loves it! Haha! I was looking for a ride on for our 17 month old son and this certainly had all of the key features I wanted: -Sturdy -Easy to get on and off -Not too wide or bulky (narrow enough for a little one to put their feet to the floor and have easy mobility) -Nothing in the way of their legs while they move about -Well placed handlebar that is easy to grip -Rubber casters perfect for our hardwood floors -Front casters that swivel for changing direction easily (steering wheels are a bit tough for really little ones to steer) -Bonus feature - the seat opens to hide small toys! (the hole you see in the photos is for fingers to pull the lid off and reveal a small oval compartment) -Another bonus feature - they stack! If you are considering more than one - there is a small hollow section in the underside of the ride-on that fits the handlebar from another if you stack them, so they nest perfectly flat on top of each other. This thing scoots around so easily and maneuvers beautifully. It is so so incredibly easy for him to move around and change direction on a dime, which was really important considering his age, the fact that this is his first riding experience, and he is a short little guy so at the moment he is just able to get his toes to the ground. Our 4 year old (will be 5 in a few months) loves it too although he is a bit tall for it otherwise I totally would order him the firetruck one. The fact that they stack is tempting though! I researched every type of ride-on toy I could find and this hands down is the best one.

Worth the extra $
Worth the extra money for a nice, smooth riding, durable trike. We have twin 22 month olds and they are on them every day. They can turn very easily, as the front wheels revolve. Also, the ride is extremely quiet. It helps that our entire house has tile floors; I’m not sure these things would go as well on carpets, but I do t think I’d buy them if we had carpet floors. No markings on the floors either! Great way to keep our munchkins busy and give good exercise, especially during winter.

Probably best for children 3 and under
I like that this toy has a simple design that stimulates creativity, swivel wheels for ease of movement, a storage compartment, and easy assembly. It seems sturdy and it's stackable. Although Italitrike says it's appropriate for up to 6 years of age, the age best suited for this toy would probably be 1-3 years. I bought it for a small 3 year old and his mother requested that it be returned due to being too small/young for him. I think he would have enjoyed it if he had gotten a vote, but perhaps it would have been a more appropriate gift when he was 1 year old. It is made of plastic. I think this is an educational toy in many respects--encourages development of motor skills, teaches cause and effect, role playing community helpers--and it looks fun. I paid $27.99 for it on Amazon (it was also available at Target for that price).

second generation gift
my son loved the toy. He rode this toy til at least 6 years old around the house. I like it cause it can be an inside toy that facilitates good motor skills. I gave this as a gift to a one year old who is now 6. his mother reminded me and I bought the same gift for his cousin's first birthday. This is my NEW Born shower gift or first birthday gift. It is a great toy! Very durable and sturdy. Highly recommended. it would make a good grandmother gift too!
