BACOENG Ash Vacuum for Pellet Stoves, 5.3 Gallon, 1200W

I spent quite an amount of time on research to get a vacuum for my Rec-Teq 700 pellet smoker. Many who had already bought a vacuum for this purpose said that a standard vacuum can work, but you can have ash blow through or shorter motor life because the wood pellet ash is so fine and it can bypass normal vacuum filters. I decided to NOT have this be a jack of all trades shop vac, since it is not designed to pick up liquids anyway, and just get a vacuum for the smoker.I've only had it 2 weeks now, but I am very happy with it. Good suction power. Small profile. The tank is more vertical then horizontal like some shop vacs. Cord is rated to vacuum up "warm" coals (fireplace or stove). I only use it when the smoker is off and pellet ash is cold.Double filter system for vacuuming up very fine ash and keeping it out of the motor. Not too loud by vacuum standards. Comes on casters for easy portability. Nice long 4 foot AC cord.It comes with the option to get upholstery tool, long wand, and floor vacuum head, but since I am not going to use it as a general shop vac, I ordered the unit without the attachments which saves $15.

This vacuum is awesome! So lightweight, but yet sturdy! Way stronger suction than my old vacuum! Nice long cord, wheels, a handle to lift it! I’m loving it, and cleaning my pellet stove more because it’s such a pleasure to use! Well worth the price!

This vac works really well. Unlike my last one, it runs a long time without turning off from over heating. It performs great and the filter catches ALL the ashes. It is also light weight (physically). Very happy with all that. There are a few small negatives. The first is the exhaust. It is at the top and lows horizontally which goes right into the ashes you are trying to remove. I fixed that by wrapping a strip of cardboard around the circumference of the canister to deflect it vertically. Second are the wheels. The vac is fairly tall a small in diameter so it is top heavy. The wheels snap in place but don’t stay where you snap them on so as they move around the circumference it may want to tip over. I ordered a second set of wheel in hopes of making it more stable. Still waiting for them. If you don’t mind making these minor alterations I highly recommend it. It is the only reason I didn’t give it five stars.

Replaced an old dual filter bag/HEPA ash vac. The old ash vac was costly to run as the bags were disposable and were filled in only a few times of use. This one did have decreasing suction as the vacuuming went on, but I vacuumed up about 2.5 gallons worth (left them longer than I should have) and still had enough suction to finish. Emptied it out tapped the filter several times and suction seems to be restored to full. I feel like if I were cleaning up after a single fire or two, it wouldn't have had noticable suction loss. It does say to empty it every use, which doesn't seem unreasonable. Ashes are notoriously good at clogging filters, so this to me is not unexpected.

I have been using one of these for a couple of Winters. I clean my pellet stove daily. It has held up well and works effectively with the secondary filter.

Unfortunately, the canister seals don’t appear to work the greatest, and ash blows out. I’ve checked the seal. It’s brand new so it isn’t because of wear and tear and I don’t believe it has anything to do with faultyinstallation. The good news is the suction is great. I think my remedy will be to use a damp towel on the top to at least contain the dust that is leaking out.

This works amazing!!!! Third ash vac Ive had over the years. This brand / model by far is the best!!! Only wish I would gave know of this one years ago!!!

True to its description, it has awesome suction and it’s Orange. The suction only lasts until you use it. Once you suck up ash, the full indicator tells you it’s full even though there is only 1/2 inch of ash in the can. The sticks to the outer filter building up a think layer greatly reducing the suction. Upon taking it apart, like I would to dump it, there was more ash stuck to the filter than there was in the can. There was a layer of ash (2cups worth) on the filter. Once I cleaned it off it had great suction until it touched ash again. I should never have purchased this vacuum. I’ll go back to my 8 year old vacuum and reluctantly keep this as a spare. What a waste of money.

This vacuum is well worth the money. Does not release particulate into the house, not like our previous ash vacuum

This vacuum works fine... For 4 seconds. After that the primary filter cloges and u have to clean it...
