Great Seeds
The Green grew like gangbusters. The red were slower going and less hardy but still worked great. Start in a pot and transplant at the 1 inch mark.

red shiso is not germinating at all
0 germination beyond seeds struggling to put out a tiny root and instantly dying across 3 different attempts. Green shiso and all other seeds I've grown this year germ and grew just fine, only the red shiso

Mixed results
Green Shiso sprouted beautifully. Red Shiso has not sprouted. I have tried 3 rounds and all the red shiso seeds are bad.

6 green sprouted, zero red sprouted
6 of the green shiso seeds sprouted, zero of the red seeds sprouted. Planted at different times across 3 months in sterile medium, in a sterile growing frame inside of a structure, not outdoors. The 6 that did sprout didn't survive long after. I'm not a beginner gardener, so this feels very strange. Tried to contact support, but the links did not work for me. The return window should be longer than one month.

Green did great
All the green (4) shiso seeds came up. 😁 However, none of the 4 red came up. I will try more red again

These seeds appear to be in great condition. The packaging was great. Would purchase again!

Not Japanese shiso, but Korean perilla.
These are not Japanese shiso. They are Korean perilla which i have so abundant in my garden because they're self seeding. The green seeds are great if you need perilla. The red seeds are not good. Not even one germinated, so don't even bother.
