Great item, but limited storage use.
Disclaimer: While I give this a positive review, I actually had to return mine as they did not work out for me. Pros: - Sturdy construction. - Construction materials. - (For Desks) The clamp is well engineered and designed (minus the knob, see below) - For what it is able to hold, the overall design works well. Cons: - Small holder size - Due to the above, limitation of what can be used in it. - The angle of the top piece further limits what can be used in it. - The clamp is well designed but the knob that tightens the clamp could use some re-work. It gets tough to secure a tight enough grip on it once you're at the last stages of tightening. I bought these to add to my desk to put my drinks off the surface where I had expensive materials laying about. While I did measure prior to, I was confident most items I had would fit, even if very snug. The clamp to my desk (along with the included skid pad) worked great other than some difficulties with the knob, as indicated above. I tested a few items I had around, see below: Fit: - Any standard beer bottle. In my specific test, I used a stubby bottle from Alaskan Amber. - Any canned beverage the size of a soft drink or beer. - Any small bottle of water that has a proportion to that, or smaller than, the above 2 items. (My guess, as I did not have a specific item to test this with, is smaller than a 20oz bottle of water, but it depends on the design of the bottle.) Did not fit: - Takeya 18oz water bottle. I knew going in that it would not fit based on measurements provided by the manufacturer and what I measured, however, it may be helpful for those of you reading this to know out of the gate it's a no-go. - 16oz Beer Pint Glass. The glass goes in slightly and has a drastic lean on it. - 16.9oz Pure Leaf bottled (plastic) tea. The market for desk cup holders is prime for the taking with very limited selection, at least on Amazon, with only 1 real competitor. I'm not sure if the manufacturer actually reads any of these, but here are some suggestions if you would like to re-design and market one of these to desk users: - Remove the top angle piece, I assume this is designed to help keep the item in place while attached to a moving motorcycle, atv, etc. - Redesign the knob - Increase the diameter of the of the storage 'arms' to be 3.25" (or greater) - Add to the design the ability to accomodate different shapes, either through a tapered base, or some other mechanism. - In addition to, or in replacement of the above, add the ability for the arms to move to accept larger containers. Might allow to keep the initial 2.8" diameter, and allow the arms to move outward for larger containers. Instead of a flexible rubber, it would be nice to see something a bit more mechanical in design (maybe something like how the grip you have designed can be increased/decreased in size via a screw mechanism, something similar could possibly be adopted for the container storage 'arms'?)

Won't fit 20oz Contigo water bottles
Wish these had adjustable arms. They just would't fit any of our contigo or stanley bottles without scratching them up petty bad. We had to make some modifications to get them to even remotely fit. The top angled nub (I guess to hold a small plastic water bottle in place) had to get cut completely off to fit a 20oz metal cylindrical water bottles we use. These would be good for generic water bottles or pop, but didn't work very well for our needs without cutting them apart. They also have some decently sharp edges from the manufacturing process that needed trimmed so my son won't get cut on them. All in all, we'll make them work until we find something different.

Rugged and well made
Bought for a motorcycle, good materials, and seems well-made. The clamp incuded a liner to protect the finish and the holder fits the disposable sports cap bottles (eg 23.7 oz Smart Water, Ice Mountain) I use perfectly, but may be small for some uses, so make sure to check the measurements, as there is little to no flex in the holder.

It won't hold up...
I purchased two of these to mount on my Can-Am Spyder. Wasn't planning on using them a lot or trying to carry anything more than a 16oz water bottle. Well when I first got them, I mounted both of them on my spyder and made a trip about 2 hrs away. I guess the good thing is that they did not blow off during the ride, the kinda bad news is that I didn't use them during the trip. So once I returned home I cleaned up the spyder and end up removing the holders and storing them in my garage. So fast forward 4.5 months and I was planning to take another 1.5 hr trip so I decided to mount the holders again that had been sitting on my garage. Put the first one on, no problem. Went to put the second one on and as I was tightening it, just with my fingers, it stripped out and would not tightening any longer...wth. So yes, after one use this mount is totally useless to me. I don't know if it was the screw or the barrel nut that stripped out but which ever it was the mount is no longer usable so don't waste your money on these things. IF i could these zero star I would!

Buen producto.

Sturdy but not cup size adjustable - limited use for pop cans only.
It is sturdy and I believe it will fit on the round metal rail at our seat in the arena, but I am disappointed that the cup size is not adjustable. It will not fit cardboard pop or beer containers, only regular small pop and beer cans. I wish I'd have known. It said adjustable but they meant the rail mount, not the cup size. Oh well!
