MyBlend Plus Personal Juicer, 500 W, BPA-Free, Portable 500 W, One-Touch Function, Stainless Steel Blade

I wanted to love this product: it's beautiful, well designed. Good materials, good grip and size. Unfortunately it is not able to blend a banana with milk. It keeps stopping after 1 second or less. It's ridiculous. It is only able to blend milk with some powder (whey, Milo,...) but I can do it shaking manually. So what is the point on having a beautiful product if it's USELESS!!! I hate the fact that everyday I need to struggle with this product when I am preparing an Acai shake for my son. Every single day, it never worked as intended.

For some reason, I previously thought it was a good idea to spend less money and get a battery operated product like the one in the 2nd picture. After going through two of those costing around $20 each in two years, I realized I was wasting my money. They are cheap, flimsy, with tiny motors that lock up with thick peanut butter. I finally decided to get a real machine, with a cord, and a serious motor. This Oster (1st picture), is just a smaller version of my big blender. I think I could put rocks in it and they would turn into dust. It’s the difference between a 49 Volkswagen, and a hemi-powered ram truck. If you want a sturdy, reliable machine, that will last a long time, spend a little extra and get this Oster!

Very powerful, just a bit loud. Make sure you hold the lid when it’s on high. It’ll blow the top right off. I still have my 60 year old Osterizer, still working, but I don’t want to wear it out…lol Very effective. I like the blade will spin both ways.

First, let me say I have only use this blender 4 or 5 times so far so I can only comment on my findings so far. With that said let's review, and find out if this is really what the cat dragged in. No, I did not blend the cat! Overall, cutting to the chase, it's a great blender super powerful. I made a 32 Oz smoothie poured into a shaker bottle with the following ingredients: Almond milk 10oz, 1 scoop protein power. 1 scoop of powdered peanut butter. 1 single serving of Greek yogurt and 1 cup of frozen fruit. I then used the smoothie button. Took roughly 45 to 60 seconds which is a bit longer than My old blender a black and decker quiet crush, which took maybe 30 seconds. Yes, it was absolutely far less noisy, but this is not a deal breaker just don't make salsa or a smoothie if your wife is sleeping. I will not be held responsible. Moving on, the benefit between this one and the old one is my old one i had to put at a bare min 16 to 18 oz liquid and it still came out super thick; think Mcdonald's shake and was well over 32 Oz honestly closer to 45oz. Who wants to drink all that everytime. This is where things get dicey and honesty debated 5 stars vs 4. The cleaning is pretty easy, takes maybe a total 5 minutes with drying. However, the assembly is a pain. I will cover this last, so read on. How to clean. Un-screw the bottom then take out the blade and the rubber seal. Wash everything and dry with a towel. Next, assemble back together and done. Do I need to take apart each time? No, but this way I dont have to worry about the seal starting to smell. This is the part where I considered taking off a star. You MUST and can't stress enough, make sure the blade and sealing ring are in correct. Need to be perfectly aligned and when you screw it on it is on correct. Should go on smooth. If its not on perfect your kitchen will look like you just had a paint ball fight inside. If this happens waking your wife up from the blender will be the least of your worries. My advice before use, put water in it in the sink and make sure it does not pour out. If doesn't you're in the clear. If you decide to not take apart each time but maybe a cup of water and a drop of dish soap not more than a drop and run on lower or use the smoothie button to create the vortex. DO NOT FULL HALF WAY AND PRESS MAX OR HIGH. Water will fly out of the top like a volcano. Overall great blender the make sure you put back together well and do the 5 second test before using.
