Bamboo Ergonomic Folding Meditation Bench - Seiza Bench - Ideal for Vipassana and Transcendental Meditation

This is my first meditation bench, so I can’t compare it to other products, but I’m very happy with the purchase. The bench is the right height for me (I’m 5’6”). I can sit Seiza, or in simple Lotus. I don’t use any sort of padding for the bench itself, but I do like padding under my knees. The bench seems to be of good quality, and it is sturdy. The hinges are heavy duty. The finish is nice, and the design is perfect. All parts are measured, cut and finished well. The bench folds almost flat, and it lightweight for easy transport/storage. I leave mine set up in front of my altar, though; it compliments the space well. I recommend the bench for anyone whose older knees and hips necessitate being up off the floor just a bit. The bench is tilted forward, to provide the correct support for good, upright meditation posture. I believe the bench is 6” off the floor at its highest point. It is smaller than it appears in the pictures, so don’t be surprised. If you’re unable to open your hips/knees well, you might want to consider a higher bench. This one is OK for me, and I feel grounded, but if you have trouble sitting/kneeling for long periods, or have difficulty in getting up from those positions off the floor, I’d consider a higher seat. This one is fairly close to the floor. All in all, a great bench, and a worthy addition to the meditation space.

I love this bench! It is really very comfortable. I actually feel I am resting my back when I sit on it. In contrast to my cushion where I need to make frequent adjustments, I am able to get comfortable immediately on my bench. The hinges feel sturdy and are tight enough that the legs stay where you put them. Good construction.

This meditation bench fell apart after a couple of months of normal use. The hinges on the bench are secured by screws that popped through the hinge causing the bench to collapse. Very poorly designed and clearly not well thought out. Very disappointed. I would not recommend anyone buy this product.

I really like this bench. I started a meditation practice and I find it immensely helpful. I do find that the comfort of it is improved when kneeling on a pillow. Also, I do find that the folding aspect of it takes a bit away from its sturdiness/ stability, however, it makes it that much more portable when I want to pack it and take it with me on a trip

Glad I got this as it settles me in during meditation. One comment about the product and their customer service - my first one came with some mis-matched and corroded screws but I sent that one back and got another that didn't have the quality control issue. Thanks,

I bought this meditation bench for myself, but now my whole family is using it! Prior to buying this bench I did not have a comfortable way to sit and meditate without my back or legs getting tired and sore. Now I can meditate for longer periods of time with ease. I love the design of the bench with the folding legs and the flat edges providing excellent stability.

Super sturdy and well made. I bought to help with posture and it has really helped. I’m updating my review - it’s been a few months that I’ve had it now. I injured my lower back in a fall. I used this stool to help stretch my back and it made a world of a difference not to mention the relief it provided from the pain. I would sit on it and the pain would go down substantially.

Taking my meditation game to the next level, and this stool was the best. I tried different mats and zafus and stuff, but The slant of the stool makes kneeling very very comfortable for long periods of time. Couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship It's a beautiful piece that I will have for many years
