I was really excited about this purchase. When I got the kit, I found it SO EASY to apply. There is even a video to guide you. I just watched that video, and was able to put the strip on first time with zero issues. I am following the guidelines of wearing only open-toed shoes right now, but have worn some closed-toe slip-ons at home, and am noticing no pain with them. The strip seems fully secure with no lifting of any edges. I have also showered without any issues or loosening of the strip. I have learned that the titanium in the strip has a tension that gently pulls the toenail up from the sides, because the strip wants to be straight from side to side (not curved, as it is when glued across on your toenail). So, it VERY gently provides a subtle lift to the sides of your toenail, not only alleviating the pain from the already embedded nail, but also allowing new growth that occurs to avoid any further embedding. This is wonderful! I am already noticing a huge difference in the excruciating pain I had in this toe. I can't wait to see results after several weeks. I can tell it is working! What a small investment to make to be able to take care of this awful issue myself; no doctor visit, no needles, no cutting, just glue a simple little strip to your toenail. Yay!

I was able to keep them on for 5-6 weeks Because I did place the metal strip. At the middle of my big toe, I think it took longer The pain was gone rather quickly maybe 1 or 2 days and then I could start to see the difference a little each week I'm going to do another strip to continue correcting my toes: They provided enough strips for several applications depending on the size of your toe, which is also a nice aspect The value of this product was well worth it; it beats going to the podiatrist. I know it's black; if you could make it so that is all clear, it would be great so i could wear sandals But I recognize its the metal strip that does the magic.
