I take the insert from the right shoe (we don't need an insert with an AFO) and put it in the left shoe to make it snug. We no longer have to buy 2 different size shoes!! Bonus: she can zip and unzip these herself with one hand! Since she had a stroke, she's unable to use her right hand to tie or lace shoes.Thank You Billy Footwear for making such a practical shoe! I'm telling everyone I know about these. Tip: The high top works great with the AFO, ankle height not so much.

Overall a great shoe!
We love the Billy shoes...it is the only shoe our little guy can wear using his special inserts. Depending on size of inserts, the toe/width can be a little snug but overall we are very pleased! Our little loves them and gets lots of compliments on his shoes.

You guys nailed it. I wanted a shoe that went on quickly yet challenged my daughter to learn tying her own shoes when the convenience afforded the lesson. Thanks for this excellent shoe!

Fashion and functionality!
Regardless of the fact that they are the perfect shoes to wear with AFOโs, the true genius in these is that they are super easy for a parent to help get them on, and they look spectacular. People compliment my sonโs shoes constantly, and he loves the way the feel.
