Powerful and good quality.
Large! I wanted to get the biggest one I could resonably store as you never know what you might need one day. It came with everything neatly packed and a bottle of oil with just the correct ammount to fill the pump. I recomend not running it inside the house as it does output a bit of smoke or some sort of pollution, but this is the same with all the pumps. the oil is a consumable, but its good that it came with your first bottle. The vacuum held strongly for an hour when I first tested it. I used it for resin so far and it did a good job to remove the bubbles, but fast setting resin might be tricky as you only have a few mins with that stuff. The noise level is fairly quiet and wouldnt have bothered anyone else in the house. The instructions were adequate and to be honest there are so many videos online I didnt need the paper ones.

Outstanding
Great quality Almost silent - i run it under my desk in the study and can easily watch Youtube whilst it is running draws a full vacuum very quickly Essentially, there is no issue, nothing to be concerned about, and it is great for resin work Would purchase again without any hesitation

Well made for hobby or light commercial use
The product looks and feels well-made for its price, but we have not used it much to know how reliable it will be. The lid seals against the camber largely by the vacuum, starting with gravity and the suggestion of some hand pressure to ensure the silicone rubber gasket is in full contact. The pump brings the chamber down to around 0.2 bar (-0.8 on the gauge) in around a minute, and then another minute is needed to get down to around 0.05 bar (-0.95 reading). I don't know how accurate the gauge is, and while there is air going in/out it is reads the manifold pressure which is not the same as the camber, but if you stop flow briefly it shows believable numbers. In use the pump is fairly quiet and the chamber came with a spare inlet dust filter and a few sealing washers, which is a nice touch.

Good value, works well, time will tell how long it will last
I looked long and hard when deciding to purchase a vacuum pump and chamber for degassing silicone. The highest quote for a complete system I had was £1000 (a UK company), there were intermediate priced kits too, and then the “BACOENG 19 Liters Vacuum Chamber Kit with 3 CFM Single Stage Vacuum Pump, 3 Pin UK Plug” at £229.99. I chose the BAC kit as (a) it was a lot cheaper and (b) they had the taller chamber in stock that I needed. It is a single stage pump so I knew it would not evacuate the chamber as fast as a more expensive pump. I had concerns from the start having read some poor reviews. Several said how poorly packed the kit was and that the chamber arrived with a dent where the pump had hit it in transit, also that the base of the pump was bent and would not stand level. Bizarrely, after I unpacked my order, that on first appearance seemed well packed with foam, I found the same two faults! The minor dent did not bother me and I took the base off the pump and straightened it. It is now fine. Assembly of the kit is fairly straightforward although the instructions being of Chinese origin are somewhat confusing at times. – What washers to put where, where to fit the filter, that kind of thing. I did add two stainless steel washers against the rubber sealing washers to make for a better seal through the chamber lid. Upon first operation, having put the oil in the pump [Oil is supplied, but only exactly enough to fill to mid-way point], I noticed vapour venting from the oil filler cap. It took a while to realise that this is correct and the evacuated air is “in” the oil and the “exhaust” is combined with the filler plug. After several operations the top of the pump does get a bit oily and if used in a confined space there are some fumes. The oil level does go down and after several evacuations the oil is a little bit cloudy so buy plenty of extra oil at the same time of purchase. It seems vital to change the oil very regularly. The other notable point is that the gauge has a rubber plug on its top. When everything is set up, you are told to vent the gauge by cutting or puncturing this cap to equalise the pressure. I found you can just pull it off with your fingers, and then when you are finished, put it back in. This helps avoid spilling all the glycerine fluid out of the gauge when you accidently turn the lid sideways! The actual operation of the pump and chamber is very good. The pump clearly removes most of the air as silicone froths up and bubbles away when you reach near the maximum on the gauge. I avoid running the pump unnecessarily so when a low vacuum is reached I switch it off and then close the valve. I did a test before vacuuming anything and found that the chamber held vacuum overnight. I am at the point where I need to change the oil. The manual states - running the pump for 30 minutes to warm it up, but doesn’t say whether that is under load or straight to atmosphere. It then says to drain the oil from the drain plug and run the pump without oil for 3 minutes while pouring a small but unspecific amount of oil into the pump inlet – Apparently cleaning out the remnants of old contaminated oil. This procedure seems against logic when the oil is so important to the condition of the pump! I need to check this procedure before doing it. In summary, if you have plenty of money and are going to use it many times, buy a better, faster costly system. If you are only going to use it occasionally and don’t want to spend loads of money then the BAC seems to me as good as any other budget system. Spend wisely on the best premium pump oil and change regularly. Even after each “session” if it is to be put away for a few months before being used again.

Received broken
Unfortunately mine was defective. It didn’t vacuum the air at all, the gauge meter didn’t move at all. Had to return it :(

Brilliant and affordable
I was skeptical of buying this as its a fraction of a cost of a proper degasser. I used this for a translucent resin table pour and I have to say, I had 0 bubbles. This thing is incredible and worth the money. If you use this for resin, I would recommend getting a 5l bucket and fill it half with the resin (2.5l). The degassing process creates so many bubbles that rise up and can over flow your bucket into the chamber itself which any one who knows resin is annoying to wipe up. I would recommend the 12l version instead of the 19l as the 19l is just taller and not wider which makes it difficult when trying to find a tall bucket thats still narrow enough to fit into the 19l. The machine is also quiet so you can use this without using ear plugs. 5* would recommend even on a professional level

Pulls and holds a vacuum, far quieter than expected
I purchased this for degassing silicone and resins. It arrived well packaged, with the tank and pump packaged separately (unlike other reviewers). Assembly was easy although the pump did need a clean with some degreaser as it appears some oil had leaked during shipping. After adding the supplied oil into the pump (the entire bottle filled it to about 95% of the "max" line) it worked immediately pulling 29inHg. It quite happily degassed the silicone I've used it for so far, and exploded at least one marshmallow.

Excellent value kit
Can hit and hold <-29.9inHg for hours but you'll need to get your own oil as what it comes with is insufficient.
