Great pre-filter โ removes chlorine smell and protects my system
Iโve been using this ICEPURE 10" x 4.5" 1-micron sediment + carbon filter as a pre-filter before my whole house water softener, and itโs been a solid upgrade. The biggest difference was immediate. The bleach/chlorine smell in our water is gone, which makes a noticeable improvement in both drinking water and showers. Water just feels and smells cleaner overall. It also does exactly what I need from a system standpoint. Running this ahead of the softener helps reduce sediment and contaminants before they hit the unit, which should help extend the life of the system and keep it running efficiently. Fit and installation were straightforward with standard housings, and water flow has remained strong with no noticeable pressure drop. If youโre running a whole house system and want to clean up chlorine and sediment before it hits your equipment, this is an easy recommendation.

These far surpassed my expectations they are High quality and do a nice job in my system I have very hard and high iron content from my well water these filters do a good job pre softener and are a great bargain compared to big box options

Quality product. Save money, stop buying bottled water
Perfect! removes all chlorine taste and unwanted minerals that leave deposits from our water. Wonderful clean water for showering and drinking. It's easy to install and a great value for the money! Excellent Quality filtration. I love that I don't have to buy bottled water and that saves tons of money! It doesn't slow down the water pressure either! Very happy with our Whole House Water Filter System!

Great for removing smells
These work great for removing sulfur smell from hard water. Even with a sediment filter and softener my water had a sulfur scent, this filter removes all of it. They don't last very long though, probably 4-6 months.

Reduced water flow can be a signal to replace the filter.
This is a good and effective filter. However, it almost stopped the waterflow three months to the day after installed. I replaced with a filter that only filtered sediment. Water flow came back to normal. I need to choose between more filtered water and its cost. Film at 11...

Works Where Most Didn't
We bought a place near a lake to retire in. But the well water has bad rotten egg smell, and lots of black particles. We tried several filters, and all would work for perhaps 3 - 10 days. This filter kicks butt!!!! It gives us approximately 6-7 weeks of clean, clear, non rotten egg smelling water. I wish it lasted longer for us, but you can't have everything :) A great filter.
