The kefir is easy to make and I am happy with its taste and consistency. It's healthier and more affordable than the store-bought alternative.

Rather than the web directions, try using an ezyo yoghurt making flask, water and 2 cups of full fat milk powder with one pack of kafir. The result is 1 litre of rich, sweet tangy kafir. And you can set aside few spoon fulls and use water and milk power to make the next batch, and the next and next and so on.

I'm a first timer on making my own Kefir and I LOVE these Kefir packets. I have been on Ozempic as a diabetic and to loose weight for about 3 years now. It does a great job of controlling my blood sugar and I have lost about 30 pounds over that time period. The one side effect I get from Ozempic is constipation (which is not unusual). I starting drinking Kefir a couple of months ago and found that it helped ease the constipation. At Walmart a one Quart bottle of unflavored Kefir is $3.66 and higher at other stores. I was drinking two quarts a week and spending $7.32 per week. I had also found an easy to read book on Amazon and it seemed too complicated and time consuming to have to keep using the "kefir crystals" and regenerate them almost daily. I then found these packets which are designed for single use (no muss, no fuss) so I bought a package of 12 for $18.99 and gave them a try. Result was spectacular! I heated up a quart of milk in the microwave and let it cool down to luke warm. I added the packet, stirred it up and put a lid on the glass container. I wrote down the time so I could track how long it took. I left it on my kitchen counter for 24 hours and it was ready the next day. I stirred it up and added a low calore sweetner to taste, stuck it in the refridgerator to chill and then did the taste test. IT WAS DELICIOUS and better tasting than the popular Lifeway brand most stores carry. I now have my second batch brewing, only this time I am doing a full two quarts with two packets since my glass container will hold the two quarts. When I finish this gallon of whole fat milk I paid $2.97 for a gallon at Walmart I will then try the 2% milk the next time. My cost per quart is now only $2.32 vs $3.66 a full 37% savings for a better product which contain more probiotics than the commercially prepared brand. I also don't have to be bothered with regenerating kefir crystals for the rest of my life! I just went back on Amazon and set myself up for recurring shipment which also saves $1.00 per order of 12. However, here is no shipping fee if your order is over $25 dollars. So if you order two packages you pay no shipping but the discount works out to .50 per order of 12.
