The Best and Only Iron Youโll Ever Buy
I took my time, waited until I had put it through its paces and only then did I decide to write this review. Over the years Iโve owned a lot of irons and none of them have been particularly good. Theyโve all done their job, but thatโs about it. This Rowenta, however is a standout. Itโs on the heavy side definitely but the weight is there for a reason. When you press down on something, you donโt need to use your body to make a crease, or flatten the surface. When you push the steam button, itโs not a little puff steam, itโs a big big cloud of steam like youโd see from a commercial steam press. On top of that, the iron face itself is not fancy no stick surfaces. It doesnโt need that! Itโs designed for real work on the ironing board. It holds heat, does its job, does it properly, and doesnโt let you down at any time in the process. It has a long cord that wonโt run short when you need length. It holds enough water to keep you going through a lot of clothing, and itโs got settings from delicate all the way up through linen. From what Iโve experienced so far each setting is accurate. It even has a silk setting! Iโm two months short of 69 years old and Iโve been ironing my own clothing since I went into the army when I was 18 years old. If youโre looking for an iron that is going to last for years to come, do everything you wanted to do, and never let you down. This is the one you want. And by the way, if youโre curious where Rowanta is made, itโs a German company. Youโre paying for the best iron made. I highly recommend this, I use it every week and they expect to be using this iron to be passed on to my kids! Yesโฆ itโs really that good.

Great Steam Iron
Iโve been using my Rowenta iron for a while now. The steam output is incredibly powerful and consistent, making it effortless to remove even the toughest wrinkles. It heats up quickly and maintains a steady temperature, so thereโs no waiting around or worrying about uneven results.

Powerful steam and great results
This Rowenta iron heats up fast and delivers strong, consistent steam that easily removes tough wrinkles. The stainless steel soleplate glides smoothly, and the microsteam holes really make a difference. I also love the retractable cord and clear LED display. Solid, high-quality iron that makes ironing quicker and easier.

Overall a great iron, BUT
I bought this to replace an older Rowenta iron, so I had some expectations. First, if has a retractable cord, which I love. My old one had a retractable cord, so that's a requirement for me. There is no going back. The cord seems lighter duty than my old iron, but I notice that with a lot of newer electronics. I couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Seriously. I figured out that I had to keep turning the dial until the lights came on and line up the setting with the triangle located beneath the dial until the iron turned on. Easier said than done, honestly, because the dial is tucked under the handle. It's a little hard to move, but it's brand new. Maybe it's a little tight. You can't easily see what setting you have chosen, but the LED selection is in front of you, so that's good. My old iron had more clearance and the dial was completely visible. Fortunately I have small hands and fingers. I also plugged in and unplugged the iron vs turning the dial on and off, but apparently you are not supposed to do that. On my old iron, I could adjust how much steam I wanted by moving a selector switch. This iron does not have such a switch. That seems weird to me. So if I'm ironing wool pants, the iron controls the steam and I can add extra bursts if I want to. The actual ironing is beautiful. I had dress pants that I had machine washed and air dried, so they had modest wrinkles. I set to Wool and wrinkles came out very quickly. It seems like it has a large water tank, but also uses water quickly. I don't iron often, so it's not a big deal to me. I will have to remember to empty unused water, per the manual. I never thought about it previously. Overall, love it. It's what I expected. The dial placement is my only complaint.

Absolutely great!
By far one of the best irons I ever owned. Feels and performs great. Worth every penny.

Well built iron
Well-made and nicely designed iron. Love that Rowenta finally came out with a retractable cord for easy storage. The iron is just heavy enough that you don't have to press hard to remove the wrinkles on your clothes.

May Be Out of Date/Cannot Register It for Warranty
Haven't used the iron yet, but according to previous Rowentas I've used, I expect it to do as it should. The reason for 1 star is there is no way to register the iron for its supposed 1 year warranty. The instructions that said to text a provided icon to a certain number would not let me complete the process because the form that was provided by text would not accept the model number and name. I tried 3 times with no success. So I went to the web site that was mentioned in the paperwork to register the iron. Again, I could not register it because there was no model like the one I received on their site. Because I've been extremely busy since I bought it over a month ago, today was the first day I had time to take it out of its box. I would return it, but the return window has expired. So it looks like I'm stuck with it. Everything will probably be OK in the end, but I am miffed that it seems that out of date models are being sold on Amazon. Lesson learned...before buying a rather pricey appliance, check the web site of the manufacturer to make sure it's a current model.

Very good Iron
Seems like a very nice iron. It's brand new, so it works fine at this time.

Made in China, NOT in Germany
Made in China. Although I searched Amazon for Rowentha made in Germany and it did return this model and although other info on the internet indicated that this high end model was still manufactured in Germany, it is manufactured in China. It does the work but definitely not as good with steam as my previous iron.

Not for use in the UK
Don't order it if you live on the Continent. Voltage not suitable and complicated to get a refund.

Expensive, I am not convinced it is worth the money.
This is a fairly good iron. I thought it would be heavier, so that it would iron the more difficult sheets etc.
