The Vale is even better than I hoped! I wanted a travel bag that was unobtrusive and not too large, yet could hold maps, a guidebook, water bottle, phone, iPad mini, charging cables, snack, wallet, and the day's smaller purchases. The Vale fits the bill and more -- plus looks great too. This bag holds far more than I expected. It is light yet incredibly durable; even cute -- and surprisingly classy in a modern way. No bulk! Sleek enough to roll up or lie flat in luggage or a tote, my bag is carbon black with a cheerful bright lime green lining that makes it easy to find items deep inside, even in poor lighting. It offers LOTS of invisible and unobtrusive security features! These include integral RFID blocking, slash-proof bottom and strap, a security cable to allow locking to a chair, and clever zipper loops that if utilized, help deter would-be pickpockets. The two straps can be reconfigured so the Vale can be carried as a shoulder or crossbody bag, or as a tote. It can be flapped over if not carrying much, or the straps easily reconfigured in seconds to convert it to full size. Like the other reviewers, I can't say enough good things about this incredibly versatile bag, which works for everyday as well as travel. The Vale offers so many features -- it must be used to fully appreciate. It is absolutely perfect and I love-love-love it!

Loved this bag as soon as I opened the package. Pros: color choices, lighter color fabric inside so you can find stuff, easy to fit essentials and, when unfolded, can fit water bottle, has slash-proof bag/strap. The Vale is unique in that it has RFID protection on both sides of the bag so I felt safe storing my passport in one of the external pockets. The number of pockets and ability to secure external pockets was perfect. You could easily use this as a personal size bag for under the seat, but I used a larger backpack and fit the Vale (folded in half) into the backpack’s laptop sleeve. The Vale is casual but looks nice enough to take into a restaurant. Cons: No external water bottle pocket, not a deal breaker for me - I brought a reusable bottle that didn’t sweat so it didn’t matter if I put it inside the bag. No padding on the crossbody strap, so I bought a set of 2 removable strap pads from Amazon (advertised for backpacks and guitar straps) and put one on the crossbody strap. I used my smallest compression cube to fit a sweater and rain jacket in the Vale, which made it heavy, so in addition to wearing it crossbody, I would sometimes give that shoulder a rest by using the short strap on my other shoulder at the same time. The small red clasp that secures the main zipper was a little bit hard to open, so I used a small Nite Ize hook to connect it to the zipper. One of the photos shows the Soliel (left), the Vale, and the Geo (right) for size comparison. I loved the Soleil but it looked overwhelmingly huge on me when full, so I returned it. Kept the Geo to use as an everyday bag. The Vale was an excellent bag to take on a recent summer trip to England; it’s the most versatile travel bag that gives peace of mind - highly recommend!

This is the best travel purse I’ve found. Just returned from a trip to Europe and it got a thorough testing. It’s large enough to hold everything I wanted, but isn’t big and bulky. I wore it as a cross body, but the straps allow for multiple configurations. It has so many anti theft features that I was never concerned about pick pockets or purse snatchers - I could relax and enjoy myself even in highly crowded areas. Highly recommend this travel purse.

I bought for an alternative to the same purse in orange. Good size, versatile, I like the RFID fabric but that's the only security feature I actually use. Wide band is comfortable but hard to loosen, purse is lightweight. Security features can't be beat. Don't love the contrasting chartreuse lining because I often leave a zipper open and it clashes with my outfit. ;-) I like the colors and look. It didn't lose shape after a few washes but the 'sherpani' letters peeled off (no worry, they were black on black). The appearance isn't really trendy, I.e. quickly out of style, so a plus. I like a mix of utility and simplicity that doesn't 'butch up' my minimalist feminine style. I like to hold onto a good purse for years and not change it up too much. 2 years in and I'm still happy with these. This is well designed and made, I highly recommend it if this is to your liking. Oh, it expands to hold library books or shrinks down to slouch under a light jumble of nonsense and necessities... wallet, phone, lip gloss, sunblock, spare socks, fun size Almond Joy, kids' toys.... I hope they keep making these. I'll need another in maybe 5 years. It's the perfect tool for my mom schlep.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I use it for light days at school, and then just daily use for the store or going out to eat in the evening. I love how it’s convertible and can be made to look more dressy vs utilitarian. I got the black color and I think it will just be a bit more low maintenance for me and go with anything. I’m really looking forward to traveling with it and also ordered another bag from Mystery Ranch at the same time to try. I do love Mystery Ranch, but this Sherpani bag blows the MR bag out of the water for what I need it for. This will be great for a personal item on the plane as I plan on not checking any bags. Since the bag converts to a larger tote size, it fits my water bottle and rain jacket and whatever odds and ends I need to shove into it for air travel. It’s very well made and as others have mentioned, the long strap is quite thin, so if it becomes a problem for me and digs into my shoulder when I’m carrying more weight, then I’ll look for a replacement strap. But I’ll cross that bridge when I get there! Overall very happy with this bag and I’m sold on Sherpani now!

Very cute, super functional, and a perfect size. I got this for a weekend errand and/or travel bag. If I will be out of the house all day, especially with the dogs, this is great. You can lash it to a chair leg or other fixed object so it can't be grabbed easily, and you can get a ton of stuff in it. The generous size makes it very functional, but it's not as big as my Vale tote, so I can crossbody it and it doesn't pull on my shoulder too much. All the pockets make it easy to organize and find your items fast. I like the nylon and the design is modern, sporty, but not looking like a school or gym bag. The quality is nice as well.

This is an awesome cross-body bag for traveling. I went through Spain with this and never felt my items at risk. There is a way to push the zipper through a “lock” so it can’t be unzipped easily. It has an inside pocket that zips and 2 others for casual stuff. Hook it long or short depending on doing on what you are carrying. It does accomodate an iPad easily.

斜めがけにした時のフィット感サイズ感がとても良い。 また、色(グリーン)もどんな服にも合わせやすく👍 他の方の意見にもあるように、ストラップは少しチープに感じるが使用中はさほど気にならない。 外側ポケットの盗難防止用は良いアイデアだが、柔らかいため少々扱いにくい。硬い素材の方が外す時にストレスがないように思う。 ワイヤーも付いていたがどんなシーンで使うのか… 今回の旅行では出番なし。 全体に使いやすく安心できる良いバッグだと思う。

I purchased this bag after admiring my sister’s bag and it did not disappoint. I chose the Loden colour which looks much nicer in person than in the online ad. I’m easily able to fit a laptop, couple of sunglasses cases. It is versatile in that it functions to hold as much or little as needed. Really like the strap options: cross body, shoulder or handbag and there is no fussing to switch methods, very comfortableyy. Also really like the key lanyard. Keeps everything in its place. Looking forward to travelling with this.

Felt very secure traveling around with this bag. Lots of zips and locks and the fold-over top made it feel even more secure. 10/10

デザインも良く、A4サイズのファイルも余裕で入りました。荷物をたくさん入れるのでバッグが軽くて良かったです。 ベルトの接続部がプラスチックの様でしたので金具でしたら破損の心配がないと思います。

Love this bag. It’s so cute. Just missing blocking clip on the top zipper.
