Sky Organics Organic Shea & Babassu, Hydration Butter, 8 oz, Hair & Skin

I had tried so many sooo many creams, lotions, body butters.. expensive and not expensive ones . When I received it I applied it on my heels not expecting much but this Shea butter had worked a miracle on my bad heels (the dryness and the cracks). And not just from the first application but from the first few minutes of applying it right when it was absorbed into the skin you would see a big different. I'm so happy my heels problem was solved. With the cold weather in Michigan and with the sensitive skin of my kids they had very dry skin especially my little one (3 years old) he has another problem that makes him keep on itching in different spots on his body. The doctor prescribed him a cream with 2% hydrocortisone to use it as needed. And I needed to apply it on my son (the prescribed cream) no less than 2 times a day or more. I use baby Aveeno the unscented for my kids it keeps their skin moisturized for a few hours. I decided to use This shea butter on their body (not on the face) since it's have no other bad ingredients and it's only one natural organic ingredient. And guess what it's kept their skin smooth and soft and moisturized for a week even after bathing them .and with the time using shea butter my 3 years old son is not having itchy spots on his body and instead of applying the cream on him 2 times a day now I use it almost 2 times a week. This shea butter changes the skin I think it's something that's our skin really need it. I just want to let you know that it does have a smell a natural smell not overwhelming I don't mind it but my kids didn't like it at the beginning now they're used to it . And I've been using it for few months now . And I will be purchasing it again. Thank you Sky Organics for your product

This thing is beyond incredile. I survived my first pregnancy without any strechmarks. Daily bathing and oiling my skin while moist. My 2nd pregnancy, I didn't have time to bath, barely every 3 days and not as I wish. Many times I skipped taking care of my skin, add to that I wasn't losing weight like my first, I was packing pounds. After 3 months of living with horrible red strech matks, that felt like it was brusing and bleeding under skin. I thought it would fade and be white, and I don't mind. But it kept getting itchy. The more I scrach the more red lines appear. My thighs eventually looked like broken water mellons. I hated it, and tried some creams but slow progress. I thought shea buttee is best, it is natural, won't worry about the residue in my hands effecting my children. In fact I rubbed my face everytime with my greecy hands, and noticed my nose scratch peeled off like a page with heeled skin under it. It was weird. In just two days this dissappeared with my skinn glowing. Now, best of all, in one month, 70% of my red strechs were gone. There are areas I used to rub, I can't really see why I need to rub them, it's almost fully gone. This shea butter is incredible. The amount is perfect for my greedy hands. I literally paint myself with it after each bath. I also have it next to me in the bathroom seat. So I can rub those legs while I am doing my buisness. At least 3 times a day. I am in love. Even ifmy skin is crystal. I will always want this scent on me. This feel of smoothness. I am so happy, rarely do I find a solution that is guilt and effort free, with extra benifits.

This is my first time purchasing Shea butter. My skin gets so dry in my apartment to the point of being painful. Since using this product on the first try I received immediate relief that lasts all day. There is a scent but it's not synthetic, it's completely natural and earthy smelling, I love the scent and so does my son. I used this on my son's back because he too itches like crazy, I feel bad for him. After his shower, he put this shea butter on his back and was very pleased with the relief. The product is very thick, pasty consistency, it reminds me of thick cream cheese that you get wrapped in tinfoil (not the whipped cream cheese in a tub, It's that exact consistency. You should warm this up in your hands to make it spreadable. If you are looking for a weak cream, this isn't it, this is for serious hydration for the skin. I don't think I'll be going anywhere else to search for a different product because I'm completely pleased with this one. I also want to apply this product to my hair. I have soft caucasian curls that too get just as dry as my skin and so snaps and breaks. I want to hydrate my hair but am wondering if this is too thick to spread through my hair. If I feel it's too thick to spread in my hair, I'll update. EDIT: I feel like this product is not good for hair. It doesn't go thin enough to smooth onto hair. It actually hurts to attempt to spread it. It also makes my hair look greasy. I will use this on my skin only.

I purchased this not for myself, but for wife to use as her friends suggested it would be very useful for the skin, especially since we are expecting a new baby coming. Her friends, however, suggested a different brand than this one. I had to do my research as usual before purchasing any thing since I am a little over anxious regarding such products. I wanted to know what the Shea butter exactly is, what is made from, and the degree of the company's honesty regarding the labelled ingredients on the product. (By the way, I started using it after I've seen the effects it had on my dead, dry skin on parts of my feet and on eczema on my hands due to excess exposure to detergents) I came up to the conclusion that this company could be the most trustworthy based on not only customer reviews but also lab works that were completed by a third independent party that is not affiliated to the company by any means. To be honest, at first I was attracted to this brand of Shea butter because of the remarkable plenty and positive reviews that exceeded a thousand and one hundred. I than read most helpful reviews to the product and learned some ew amazing things about the ingredients which lead me to extend my research of the usefulness of Shea butter in general and of this product specifically. Of the health benefits of Shea butter that I found online is that it "is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production. Shea butter has been used in Africa and other countries for years to improve skin and hair." I found that the best Shea butter is the raw, unrefined, and organic one (Grade A Shea butter). Refined Shea butters that are odor free and bleached to be completely white, but the refining process removes some of the beneficial properties. An unrefined Shea butter means it has not been filtered and may contain trace particles of the Shea nut. A useful tip that I read and tried is to gently heat it until it just melts and then pour through a cheesecloth or strainer to remove any particles. Once strained, pour the Shea butter into silicon molds in pre-measured amounts (tablespoons, 1/4 cup, etc) so that it is ready to use for natural beauty recipes (you can further read about good qualities of Shea butter here as a start [...]. Or you can simply google "the benefits of raw, unrefined Shea butter and there you will read about some excellent products by name that were laboratory tested and proven (you can test it yourself if you wish with no need for lab work and by simple steps. Here is a good and short (five minutes) video that I like which explains the differences between Shea Butters [...] Enjoy watching and be healthy. I rated this product a four stars **** because 1) I could not find answer to why is this Shea Butter is not YELLOW? 2) how were this Shea Butter processed? and 3) the smell is not pleasing; I have to take a shower after every use. For these questions and exclamation I took a star. I rated it four stars because of the positive effects that I've seen on my dry skin and eczema. Wow, wow, wow! This will be my first ever review on Amazon! Story time. So I ordered this several months ago. And when the first tub was done, I ordered another along with a coconut oil from the same company. When the order arrived, I received the coconut oil, but with cocoa butter, instead of shea butter. I just assumed I made a mistake and forgot all about it. The coconut oil was great. But the cocoa butter was way too hard. We never touched it as you can see from the recent pic attached. This was in November or so. So a couple days ago, while shopping here, I decided to reorder the shea butter, since we really loved it. I went through my past orders trying to find the company, only to find out, that we did indeed order shea butter, and not cocoa butter. So the mistake was from their end. Given that this was nearly five months ago, I put in a note to the seller, but did not think much of it. Or at least, I expected some resistance, given how long ago the mistake was. 2 days later, my order arrived with a replacement tub of Shea butter. No questions asked. Not one! Talk about excellent customer service! You've gotten a faithful customer in me. :) If you are on the fence, this Shea butter is the truth! Rich, smooth, melts without much resistance, organic and smell pretty good(for shea butter :) ) Ok. That's the end of my story. And of on my "perhaps" only review on Amazon. Cheers!

the seal was partially opened, and there was a big dent when i tear off the entire seal, i don't know if that was originally like that or not, and i weighted it since i was curious, the whole thing including the bottle and the cap is barely 1 lb, so the actual shea butter is less than 16oz (i dont know if that is something related to the dent or not). everything besides those are cool, i only used it once, i might follow up with more review. FOLLOW UP: the butter itself is pretty okay, although i don't see a significant amount of improvement, but this at least keeps my face moisturize the next day if i put enough for the night. ohya, i just realized that the butter is not usda organic, i thought it was, so i am not too sure how 'organic' is this butter because thats the only label i trust in organic. but onr nice thing is i really love the nutty smell, and a little goes a long way; i have been using it for a while, the jar still have a lot, i mean a lot by the look of its almost looked like i never use it.

Super moisturizing for skin, not to mention a little goes a long way. This has lasted me forever !!!

I don't know if I received a bad batch or if my jar was old, but I literally could not use this butter ("butter"). It is so hard and stiff that I can not use my finger to get any of the product on my hand. I ended up using a kitchen utensil to test it.... GOODNESS! I'm actually grateful that I couldn't use it when I first tried because this stuff STINKS! It is not an odor that I want on my hands, much less my body. An absolute waste of money. Truly, there is nothing positive that I can say about the product. UPDATE - The seller contacted me to offer a replacement, which I accepted. The replacement jar arrived very quickly.. the video I posted is from my first jar and the images are from the second jar. The replacement jar, as with the first one, was wrapped in plastic shrink wrap and there was a foil seal under the cap... so, I do not believe the issues are related to poor storage.. I'm not sure which jar is worse, though... I finally identified a way to describe the odor - it smells like the powder from the inside of a latex balloon or gloves. Maybe that's what it is supposed to smell like? Unfortunately, I maintain my negative opinion of the product... however, the seller is fantastic. I am appreciative of their efforts to bring me a sense of satisfaction with my purchase... I have already scheduled the return and both jars will be on their way back to them soon.

Je cherchais un vrai beurre de karité non raffiné . Je voulais que la texture soit authentique et que l’odeur y soit aussi. Celui là est parfait. Pour en avoir tester pas mal je peux vraiment dire qu’il est top!! Certes il y a une odeur un peu, mais c’est justement à cela qu’on voit la qualité du produit ! Je recommande vivement

Soft and smooth skin after use and makes skin oily

Unsure why many reviews complain about the texture of the butter, it says in the instructions to warm it with your hands before applying, which once warmed it behaves more like body lotion which is easy to spread. Has a nice natural colour you’d normally see in pure Shea butter, unlike other brands. Also has a good natural nutty odour, unlike other brands, which have a chemical odour. I find if you mix the entire tub maybe once every week or so with something like a chopstick or spoon, and keep it at room temperature, the butter tends to stay smooth and silky, which makes it much easier to use
