Was Browning in colour unlike bright pink rose colour shown onlin

I bought these to put in an open dish hoping the smell would gently waft through the area. There is an underlying floral aroma but unfortunately there is another not so nice smell that accompanies it. I can’t even uncover the dish long enough to try to figure out how to describe it. The colour, shape and general appearance is very nice though and perhaps others will appreciate the odour. I know we don’t all perceive things the same way.
