Since reaching a certain stage in life, ny wife has been on a constant hunt for something that would breath life into he dry, frizzy hair and reduce breakage. I think he has actively purchased every product on the market that uses the word "frizz" on the packaging somewhere, so imagine my surprise when she tried this sub-£3.00 product and immediately asked me to order another one. Apparently, it is the only one she's used that made brushing after washing a tangle-free affair, and while it hasn't quite given her teenage hair again, it has done at least as good a job as some of the products she's spent crazy money on. It does seem to have given more shine and less frizz, and I suspect it's better suited to normal or dry hair rather than greasy hair, but I can't confirm that. Best of all, a little goes a long way, which is a bonus considering it's not very expensive anyway. I think for the cost, it's almost certainly worth a try.

I'm very impressed with this serum! At the time I ordered it, it was priced at just £6.98, so I was sceptical in terms of what the quality would be like. No need to worry though as with every cure skin product I have tried, the quality is excellent and always fantastic value for money. I have very long thick and frizzy hair, and as I am post menopause, I am very much a shedder! I always try to let my hair air dry, to reduce damage from heat as as possible, as I do then have to use hair straighteners. It tends to dry very fluffy, frizzy, and basically horrible! I found that with the serum a very little goes a very long way; just a couple of drops is all that is needed otherwise I imagine it would feel heavy and greasy. So a couple of drops moved into my palms is all I need to run over my hair from the mid length to the ends, and I do then rub any excess that is on my hands into the ends. Sarah makes my hair dry with a little less fresh and it feels super soft. Once I have straightened my hair, it looks far shyer than normal, where I have used the serum. The 50 ml bottle will last for ages and ages and is also small enough to be convenient for travel. I love this.

This Cureskin smooth and shine serum is essentially a silicon mix product and I love this! There has been a propaganda campaign against silicon in hair products on pseudo-environmental grounds with nonsense claims that non-water soluble silicon builds up on hair eventually causing breakage. All rubbish. I have raw dimethicone and cyclomethicone that I add to leave-in hair products and hair treatment masks and they upgrade these store bought formulations massively. They also wash out with no problem, I’ve been using silicon I add to my hair products for the last year. For those who are still concerned, at least 3 of the silicone types in this Cureskin formulation would be considered soluble (via air and water). Silicone is one of the great affordable hair technologies of the 20th century and we need them back in our hair products as standard. Rant over, this Cureskin is scentless, non-greasy and spreads beautifully so the 4-5 drops recommended will go far on your hair. I used the product after washing my 4c afro hair and I did experience less hair breakage than without using it. I will add that I do use multiple hair products after washing, but they all have a distinct purpose. I used the Cureskin both as a ‘sealing’ element after applying a leave-in protein spray, then moisturising cream, and I also used the Cureskin to detangle by rubbing between my palm then pulling through the strands of the matted hair with flat palms. Easy peasy untangled pleasingly. I didn’t really style my hair after this wash, just plaited it and pulled back in a ponytail. I would recommend using this product directly on hair, but also to enhance existing hair products like treatment masks that you rinse out but also to leave-in hair creams that boast ‘no silicon’. Use silicon on your hair! It coats the strands making them glide by each other rather than tangle and knot, and seal hair cuticles adding protection to the hair, and help retain moisture. This Cureskin Smooth and Shine will be a staple in my haircare, I just love it. I will also add that I look forward to seeing if the collagen in the product will make a difference to my hair in the longrun.
