Purchased this clipper last year to cut my 5 miniature horses winter coats in the spring. Minis typically grow a heavy thick coat and do not shed out like a full size horse. Regular clippers make the work a real chore. I was thrilled with has fast and clean the Takekit Clipper groomed up my 5 minis. Also, they are lighter weight than my old Osters which makes the job much easier. I like to brush the hair off and any dirt as I go, then brush off the blades, dip them in blade wash, wip off and put a drop of oil on each side of the blade set at the teeth. They run so smooth and not as noisy as the old big clippers. Love the custom molded case that came with the clippers...keeps it safe, clean and dry in between use. Note: if you are trying to clip a horse with cushings disease, these are a good choice.

The price is right and I'm super happy with these clippers. I've clipped 3 horses and 2 dogs, and it made it a pretty easy job of things. I'm not a professional clipper but I do clip my dogs regularly and I've always used the smaller kind of clippers. These clippers mowed right through my horse and my Australian shepherds coat.

I ordered these clippers to finish body clipping my mini horse when my little detail clippers failed to do the job. I finished the other 3/4 of her body with these clippers in about 30 minutes. 10/10 recommend these clippers for body clipping thick coats!

ZERO STARS!!! I literally used them on my horse for 10 minutes, having to do multiple breaks, got hot easy. I oiled blades and Cool spray. It never would cut after that and a plastic piece broke inside. Why have plastic pieces in heavy duty horse clippers. The clippers are also SUPER heavy & loud on low speed. These clippers are junk. Now I have a partly shaved horse. He is insulin resistant so have to have to shave because does not shed. I need it done ASAP but thanks to these I have to wait for $ back to afford more and going to get in the 80's. Do not get scammed like I did.

Nice clippers but very heavy and loud . Price was good but not sure if I can handle it .

Clipped 3 horses one after the other (full clips) They did great! no issue. Nose and wieght are no different then oster big ones. you just have to make sure you put oil in them as you go and have your cooling spray as you do with most clippers. I took about four 5-10min breaks to let me cool down through out the 3 horses. had them at speed 4. (Forgot to take pic)

These clippers work very well trimming our horse with thick hair. They are better than the more expensive ones we had earlier that broke after a short while.
