Super realistic replica!
Such an amazing purchase! If I could give this product 10 stars, I would! It’s beautifully made, real wood and metal, and all the pieces move realistically. It was so realistic, when I first opened the box and pulled the hammer back, my family was scared for me to pull the trigger, in fear that it would actually shoot 😆 shows how realistic it looks. If you are skeptical about buying this product, even the slightest bit, let me help you. BUY IT! You won’t regret it even the slightest bit. The wood was freshly waxed, and had a heavy realistic weight. Absolutely adore this, will be an amazing conversation piece for the Renaissance Faire! 🥰🥰🥰

Like all my Denix purchases, there is never a failure to be impressed with the authenticity and first class workmanship. I definitely recommend these replicas for authentic re-enactments or just collectors of period correct weaponry.

Very good quality with functional action. It would be nice to see a functional ramrod. I will definitely be looking at other Denix reproductions in the future, their catalog is very impressive.

Quality Concerns?
Trim piece near the trigger has a huge gap. Photos from product listing and other reviews show no gap. Normally this wouldn’t bother me and I would try to fix it myself, b for the price I paid I don’t expect this. This wasn’t cheap. I probably just received one that missed a quality check. Requested a replacement to be delivered. Will update once received. **Update. 3/31/26. Replacement was just as bad. Looks like I might be able to fix it myself. Buyer beware of quality issues.

and even looks nice on the mantle
It's okay for a costume accessory, and even looks nice on the mantle. Working trigger, hammer & strike plate, ad it's made of wood. Nobody that handles it will be fooled, but that's okay. I'm exchanging it, but only because I ordered a left-handed pistol... the box says left-handed, but the actual piece is a right-hander. How's a pirate supposed to wield a cutlass in his right hand if he needs his right hand for a pistol?
