I have had several waffle makers in the past; smaller, larger, different shapes, and different closures. I have returned a few bad ones and given the other ones away that I had for any lengthy period. This one actually works well after I figured out the proper amount of my homemade batter to put on it. It is easy to clean up, even if you do put too much batter on the plate. It gets my waffles to my desired crispness. It makes waffles like you see in the pictures, like the waffles you see in restaurants, or the waffles you make in quality hotels. The back side is properly hinged so that is doesn't pinch down in the back and leave the front side opened wider. This allows for more even cooking. I actually slightly put pressure on the front closure at the beginning of each waffle so that it will form the waffles better, but it isn't all that necessary. I'm just that picky. As it is a Cuisinart, even though it a rather inexpensive model, it is well constructed, and easy to use. Another issue that other waffle makers tend to have is that other waffle maker manufacturers put a very short power cord on the back left side of their waffle makers. Most places I have lived, with a center islands, have power outlets where they work well with appliances with power cords on the right. This waffle maker has a long enough cord so that it can be used with the power outlet on the right and be far enough from the wall. It can also work well with a power outlet on the left. Surprisingly, that is a very big thing that all product descriptions leave out. It does not have removable plates, but this doesn't make it hard to clean. It looks nice sitting on my small appliance shelf when not in use or on my stainless steel island when in use. It cooks my waffles quickly at the highest setting so I can feed four people at the same time without anyone really getting a cold waffle. It does not wobble, sits level, and does not slide around on my island while in use. It takes up little space, even though it makes good sized waffles.

The Good: - Waffles cook quickly. - Excellent nonstick surface. - Easy cleanup. - Inexpensively priced. Improvements Needed: - No audible signal when waffles are cooked - Uneven browning. Not bad, but not perfect. A waffle maker costing 3x-5x more would feel more substantial (weigh more) and brown more evenly. This Cuisinart does a reasonable job as a much less expensive alternative.

I bought this recently, and so far I'm really happy with my purchase. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and makes crispy, delicious waffles. It's easy to use, simple to clean, and a great value. Highly recommend!

This is the best waffle maker I've owned. It sits upright for storage so it doesn't take up much room. The no-stick coating makes removing waffles simple. By the end of the first batch, you will know how much batter and what setting is needed for your preferences.

After about one month of very careful use - no harsh cleaning, no drops, and normal handling - I noticed a small chipped area exposing part of the surface. This is disappointing, and it makes me hesitant to continue using it. That said, if I ignore this issue, the waffle maker itself performs very well. It heats evenly, the browning settings work nicely, and the waffles come out perfectly cooked with no sticking. Overall, it works great in terms of performance, but I’m not fully satisfied with the durability given how gently it was used.

This waffle maker makes the perfect size waffles and unlike those thick Belgian waffles, these are the "thinner" classic waffles I remember my mom making for us kids back in the 70's. I absolutely love this waffle maker but it has its flaws. It falls apart fairly quickly. Specifically, the plastic black square on the top of the waffle maker breaks off after about a year or two of use. It still works when that happens but some of the wires are exposed so not exactly safe or ideal. The temperature knob also seems to be worthless after about a year of regular use. It seems to have one temperature - high heat - which is exactly what you want anyway for waffles so not a deal breaker. There is also a lot of play with the temperature knob. You can move it back and forth but you can feel it's not actually changing the temperature because you don't feel it "catching." We use this waffle maker at least once a week so it gets a workout, but because of the flaws I mentioned, we end up buying a new one every couple of years. I just bought it again and after having purchased it back in 2021 and 2023. I'm not thrilled about that but thankfully it's still pretty cheap so dropping $25 or so every couple of years isn't the end of the world.

A maquina está aquecendo de forma desigual. Uma parte fica mais queimada que outra. Minha mae tem um modelo igual e a performance é muito diferente.

Esquenta bem, mas o antiaderente é muito ruim. Já tive um da mesma marca antes e era bem diferente. Não compensa a compra.
