Star brite Golden Teak Oil - Sealer, Preserver, Finish for Outdoor Teak & Other Fine Woods

I have just instated a 350 sq foot patio or I should say I just covered a 350 sq foot patio using 35 boxes of -"Bare Decor EZ-Floor Interlocking Flooring Tiles in Solid Teak Wood Oiled Finish (Set of 10), Long 9 Slat"- and they look amazing. When I said ""4 Star FOR NOW because of all the good reviews"" that is what I meant. It is because I have not used it YET. I need to put some finishing touches on my patio and then the painstaking process of oiling the entire patio. The wood tiles I used do have at least a thin coating of oil on them because when I washed the patio with my hose after working on it all day to get the dirt off. The water beaded up. I want to put at least 1 coat of this "STAR BRITE Premium Golden Teak Oil" on for the summer. Next year I will oil it again and then seal it to hopefully get at least 2 summers out of the "STAR BRITE Premium Golden Teak Oil" & STAR BRITE Teak Sealer. But I will Upgrade from 4 Stars to 5 Stars (most likely) after I have use this oil. Because of all the great 5 Star review I have no doubt about this product. My reviews were NOT just from Amazon. I hope I am right.

Transformed a table and four chairs look like new! Goes a long way still have over half bottle

Not sure if there are better options out there since this is my first time oiling up wood, my first impression was that the oil was quite watery. Maybe they all are? Very drippy like painting with water, besides that I'm happy with the results and will continue using it until the product is used. After that, I might look for other brands so I can truly compare. Before starting the project I did use the matching wood cleaner/brightener which did good, just smelly for a day.

I have used the STAR BRITE 'Teak Oil' several times over the years with great result. This time, I have an 8' x 32' ft deck and railing. Much bigger project. Approaching this big project piece by piece, after cleaning good, using wood brightener, fully preparing, I put down -2- THIN, THIN, THIN coats. On the entire deck. Perfect. Now, I'm going section-by-section and putting another 100% pure Tung Oil on top of the STAR BRITE 'Teak Oil'. OMG. It's stunning. Like furniture. Outside. In the rain. In the sun. This is a good product that penetrated in, filled the pores, then allowed pure TUNG OIL to rest on top of this 'Teak Oil'. Way beyond expectation.

I used this to treat an unfinished teak patio table and chairs that I've had for years, but kept stored indoors. Everything looks brand new with a semi-shiny golden sheen. Did some sanding first to remove water marks and to round off sharper edges. Brush on oil, wait about ten min, wipe off. Repeated this 3x over course of a week, waiting about two days between coats, until wood no longer absorbed oil. Still store table/chairs indoors so can't vouch for waterproofing characteristics, but the finish appears to be durable and would probably hold up outside over time. 1 gallon was more than I needed, but better too much than having to order by the pint or quart.
