Great quality; Exactly what I was looking for
I type on my keyboard pretty much all day, every day. I recently added a new computer to the office and, in turn, needed another keyboard. I decided to splurge on a quality mechanical keyboard (which, in retrospect, I should have done years ago) and, subsequently, have been seeking the perfect positioning on my desk for comfortable, fast, and accurate typing. After much experimentation, I found that I preferred the keyboard to be very low - essentially right on my lap. Not wanting to keep a keyboard (especially a corded one) on my lap all day, though, I decided to use an under-desk keyboard tray. I've had several under-desk keyboard trays over the years, ranging from inexpensive and basic, to costly and (supposedly) high-end. I haven't been happy with any of them. Ironically, some of the fanciest and most expensive models performed the worst. I have pretty basic requirements; I want my keyboard tray to be: 1. Adjustable to the exact height where I want it 2. Rock solid, with no wobbling and without tearing hunks of material out of my desk because it's cantilevered out too far 3. Large, both with respect to width and depth, ideally filling all of the space between the legs/cabinets under my desk (a scant 26" for my current desk) Never having found an off-the-shelf one that fit my needs, including in the past and during my most recent searching, I saved some heavy-duty drawer slides off of an old desk with the intent of making my own tray. I have a nice piece of sheet metal left over from another project that I was planning to fashion into braces for mounting the drawer slides under my desk. Given the thickness of the metal, though, it would have cost me hundreds or thousands of dollars to buy/make a metal brake strong enough to bend the steel. (I'd considered farming out the job to a metal shop, but figured I'd need to do enough adjusting along the way that that wouldn't be practical.) So, ultimately, I started looking for slides with appropriate pre-made brackets that could work as a keyboard tray. Surprisingly, I found these ones on Amazon right off-the-bat. Based on the good reviews, I bought a set - and am glad that I did. These slides meet all three of my criteria above: 1. Adjustment: You can adjust the height in about 1 cm increments, which is pretty fine. I have mine hovering just above lap level - and withjust enough clearance to get the highest keys on the keyboard to clear the lip on the bottom-front edge of the desk. Just perfect. Also, considering that you supply your own board, you can make it as narrow or as wide as you want. I have 26" of space, and added a 24" piece of laminated shelving. That gives me a large tray, with just barely enough space to clear the desk legs/cabinet. Also, note that you can flip the mounting brackets to face outward (as shown in the product photo) or inward. I had to turn mine inward in order to squeeze them in to the available space, so I'm really glad that I had that option. 2. Stability: These slides are solid. The metal is plenty thick enough for the weight that they're holding. They don't sway or twist, especially with the help of the grippy, quality screws that come with the kit. I spent a lot of time aligning the slides perfectly squarely so the tray slides straight, hitting the front and back stops at exactly the same time. The slides also have rubber locks that "click" into place when fully extended or retracted. The locks engage positively, and hold the tray absolutely stable when I'm using it. The fact that this tray is anchored at each side, rather than in the middle, as with some expensive trays, makes the whole assembly especially sturdy. It gives me pleasure to use such a well-built tool throughout the day. 3. Size: These slides are built to accommodate a deep 14" platform. There's nothing to stop you from using an even deeper one, but most users probably won't need anything bigger than 14". For reference, you'll need a platform at least 6.5" deep in order to hit all four of the mounting holes for the tray, itself. The slides move 10", which is a long distance, and plenty for my needs. I mounted the slides pretty far back, both to clear a lip under the front edge of my desk, and to get the tray out of the way when I'm not using it. Still, I can slide it out into position with plenty of space to accommodate even a large keyboard and wrist rest. Width-wise, because you supply your own board, you can make your tray as wide as you like. I used a 12" x 24" x 5/8" piece of laminated MDF shelving (pre-finished, off-the-shelf from a home store) and it's very sturdy at this width. I'd also looked at using oak flooring and sheet metal. Choosing your own size/material tray is one of the advantages of buying these slides, as opposed to a complete keyboard tray. My only complaint is that these slides only come in one color. All of my office furniture is white, so these black slides stand out (in a bad way). I'd considered painting them, but they already have a high-quality enamel finish that's better than anything I could do, and I'd probably clog the races/bearings if I started spraying. I'd considered docking this product one star because of the lack of color choice, but they're too good otherwise to ding them for that one minor oversight. To summarize, I'm entirely satisfied with these keyboard tray slides, and recommend them without reservation.

Made well and was exactly what I was looking for.
They came missing a little paint because the brackets were sliding around in the single plastic bag that held them. No big deal. The brackets are nice and sturdy and I have total confidence in them. The 14" size were easy to attach to a ready-cut 14" board. They have screw holes on the bottom and sides of the tray. I elected to do both for extra support but you have to be careful about the placement of the side screws as they slide into the bracket itself. If you aren't precise you won't be able to get the tray closed, or will experience a little click like I did, where the screw isn't perfectly lined up. Fairly dummy proof, even with no instructions. Took me maybe 20 minutes to assemble it along with the time it took me to build the desk I made. I am overall very happy with the keyboard slides and would buy them again. I'm including a video for you as well as a few photos so yoi can see my setup. Oh, and I should mention... I have a big ergonomic keyboard that needed head room and the brackets gave plenty of clearance. I still had a hole or two left to tinker with but didn't need it. Again, super happy wiyh my purchase and I'm really glad I didn't try to jerry-rig drawer slides. I would have spent more time and aggravation on those and they wouldn't have looked as nice.

Saved me a lot of money.
I like the quality and easy installation. And for the price, it was so much cheaper than ordering a prefab. I was able to create exactly what I needed this way. I used a 1/4โ finish board. Large enough to fit both my mouse and keyboard. No issues with my custom sizing. Just wish the arms were longer to allow a little more clearance for my keyboard. But itโs a good frame and is serving itโs purpose.

Outstanding, 5 stars, here's why!
This was such a good purchase decision. I put together a solid large tray for my computer desk for a total of $29 including wood! (purchased separately) The rails are very well designed for the following reasons: -Ball bearing design, very smooth action and feel. -Good solid heavy hardware. Nothing flimsy about this. -The drawer has a positive stop in both open and closed positions! It stays locked in place with a friction fit (rubber stops lock it in place). Solid, but easy to 'unlock' from the position on either end with a moderate tug or push. -Adjustable height with the included brackets. (detach, and screw in the desired position to maintain a given height). -Quality screws included, 8 for brackets, and 4 for your custom tray. NOTE: One useful piece of information for others looking at this: The MAXIMUM clearance you will be able to get from the top of the drawer (the top of the wooden drawer platform) and the bottom of the table platform is 3.25 inches. (about 4 inches from top of drawer to top of a 3/4" thick table). This is important because if there are any large frames under your table, your keyboard MAY end up hitting the frame when you slide your drawer in. This is only an issue if you have a large frame in the way, AND your keyboard is rather tall , like most ergonomic keyboards.

This is what you need
I can't say enough good about these slides. Whoever designed them is an excellent engineer. They are extremely adaptable - which way to attach support, height, how to attach board. They are sturdy and move smoothly. They could have many uses and I'm so nuts about them I want to find more ways beside the keyboard pull out (I used this in a small vintage desk with a narrow knee area).

Very easy to fitting. Build quality is good. The nuts already have in the package.

Easy to install and rolls very smooth. Works perfectly with a heavy, solid wood keyboard tray.

I have an old computer desk that just won't quit...except for the keyboard tray sliding rails. Thanks to these, my desk is almost like new. Granted it is a little awkward to install but if you take your time and think it through it should go without a hitch. The build is of higher quality than the original ones and the sliding is smooth and has lock positions at both extremes (full retracted and fully pushed in). I would recommend this product.

These keyboard slides are so much better than what came with my computer desk. They are strong and glide smoothly. I had no problems installing them. When I ordered them I thought they were a bit pricey but when they came and I saw how well they were made, the price was reasonable for what they are. I would buy these again if I need to replace the ones on my other desk. I recommend them.

I bought these to replaced the previous keyboard tray I had, so I had to drill the holes wider for the largers screws that fit my desk. I didn't want to put more holes into the underside of the desk. The screws that were included with these rails were fairly small and I doubt they would hold on for long. I used some nuts and washers too (they were not included with the hardware). It's holding up pretty good, though I would not recommend this for a desk made of particleboard, unless you have your own hardware to secure it all together.
