We love the taste of this cake. It doesn't taste like a box cake but instead tastes home made. Texture is delicate, soft. Very easy to make. Unfounately, the directions are in German but I think you can get the jest of it. I had to look up the measurements on line but it wasn't a problem. Easy to make and delicious.

Definitely keeping a box of this in my pantry for future gatherings or when I want to whip up an impressive dessert with minimal effort. Highly recommend!

I made this cake for my husband's birthday recently. I didn't realize there would be no English instructions (so assuming) and had to have the box translated. Luckily, I have German family and they saved the day. This cake is moist and not overly sweet. It is denser than cakes I am used to but I really enjoyed that! The chocolate glaze gives it just a touch of sweetness and it pairs so well with a simple ice cream.

Not good very dry. Better to make yourself from scratch
