Finally fixed my 100 ft HDMI blackout problem
I bought this for a difficult 100 ft HDMI run from my equipment area to an 83" Sony OLED, going through a Denon AVR-X3800H. I had been fighting random HDMI blackouts/handshake issues for a long time. My previous setup worked just well enough to be frustrating — sometimes it would run for 10–20 minutes, sometimes only a few minutes, and then I’d get a short black screen. I tried many different settings on both the Sony TV and the Denon receiver: CEC, ARC/eARC, enhanced HDMI modes, different HDMI inputs, and other combinations. I could improve things a little, but I could never get it fully stable. I also tried an HDMI-over-Cat7 extender before this. That worked for basic video, but the handshake was slow and the picture never felt quite like a clean native HDMI connection. This RUIPRO cable fixed it immediately. I tested it on the floor first before putting it in the wall. It ran clean all day and evening with the TV and Denon back on their normal/default settings. No flickers, no blackouts, no long wait for the picture to stabilize. The detachable ends were a big deal for me. I still had to work to get it into the wall, but the smaller cable end made the install possible without completely tearing things apart. I powered the display/TV end with USB as instructed. Bottom line: if you are trying to do a long HDMI run to a good TV/projector and you’re getting random blackouts or handshake problems, this cable is worth trying. For my Sony OLED + Denon AVR setup, it solved a problem that multiple other approaches did not.

Great Solution for PC Gaming in the Living Room.
I was looking for a way to stream games from my PC in the office to the TV in the living room, and every source I saw left me with two conclusions: 1) Streaming games from PC to TV is impractical over Wi-Fi. 2) A long HDMI cable is your best bet, but signal loss makes connections over 30 ft unreliable (my computer is about 40 ft from my TV). I finally came across a forum post that recommended this item and, although the price is a little steep, I picked up the 65 ft size, and I don't regret the purchase! Running fiber optic cable was a little intimidating because it can be a bit fragile. You don't want to flex it too much or bend it too sharply. But, with the help of some inexpensive plastic cable conduit I had lying around, I was able to run the cable across my apartment without any trouble, making a few 90-degree bends where necessary. The signal is stable. The picture and colors are clear. There is practically no lag. Everything looks just the same as it would on my PC monitors (better, even, since I don't have high-end gaming monitors). Frankly, until the Steam Machine comes out (and the the inevitable stock-outs and scalping stop), I think this is the next best thing! One thing to note, though: The included HDMI converters at either end are NOT bi-directional. One needs to be plugged into the source, and the other into the display (and the one at the display needs to be powered via USB), otherwise it simply won't work. I read the directions and still managed to forget by the time I was done running the cable and hooking it up. I was at a loss when the picture failed to come through. But it worked great once I remembered and swapped the adapters. Happy gaming!

Actually works at 4k 120hz. Little to no flickering. Tried about a dozen cables.
I tried about a dozen long HDMI cables to connect from my PC to my 4k TV. This is the best working cable I have tried. For me it does still flicker every once in a while, but seems to only happen when a certain program or action causes it. It's also great that the HDMI plugs are swappable and that the cable is so thin and flexible - making it easy to route. It is expensive but worth it. There are other "fiber optic" cables that are more inexpensive here on Amazon, but I tried those as well and they are junk. The only other very long HDMI cables I have tried that work well enough and are also inexpensive are the non-fiber cables that have a much thicker gauge - not sure if I can say exact brands here in the review but they are from the more reputable and "mainstream" brands. However those cables did still flicker intermittently for me, but not often enough to make them completely unworthy of using. All of this is only if you need more than a 10 ft cable. 10 ft and below and you will likely be fine with a cheaper cable.

High speed; Great Color
Great cable! I tested it before I ran it behind the wall. The picture quality was terrific. I watched snippets of Lord of The Rings and The Dark Knight in 4k. The black levels and color were exceptional. Maybe it's in my head but it did seem a bit more rich. The eARC works great as well. I have it powered at the TV so the TV remote controls the volume to my AVR. The cable was easy to run behind the wall. Overall it's really flexible and seems durable. The ends stick out a bit and I couldn't place my AV rack as far back as I would like because it sticks out. The concept of switching the heads is terrific for future proofing. If I could give it 4.5 I would. If th connectors were a tad more flexible then I would give it 5 stars.

Best quality / value long-distance HDMI I've used so far
I've tried a few AIO fiber HDMI cables in the past and have had mixed success when pushing 40-48Gbps speeds. This set works flawlessly at 48Gbps, and handles 4k@120hz, HDR, without issue. I ran into CEC problems with this set, but that seems to be a common problem depending on the make of TV and if there's a computer involved too. It's pretty easily solved with a CEC blocker, although that adds another connection to the signal chain and can degrade the connection a bit. The main downside is the size of the transceivers. Many TVs don't have enough space for it without potentially bending the HDMI connector. With a CEC blocker inserted between this and the TV too, I had to add an angle-adapter just to make it all fit. With both the extra adapters, the signal loses some stability at 48Gbit. Forcing it down to 40Gbit was enough to make it stable again without losing any features.

Fantastic cable, make sure to power up BOTH ends for longer runs
UPDATE: Only today installed one of the cables I had purchased. That one came with a dead "source" head — it lights up blue when I power it, but produces no signal on the other end. Switched this for another cable's source head and it works fine... I purchased 2 months ago but the return window/warranty is over. Not fun to throw $140 away like this. *** I recently renovated and the project required several long HDMI cables. I tried many, and this is by far the best of the best. I was having several strange issues, which I often blamed on my receivers, TVs or projectors... but turns out it was all about the cable — I plugged the RUIPROs and everything immediately "just worked". One thing to note: the 65 ft cables I purchased did NOT work well with power only on the display side. Although the manual says that should be enough (except for CEC), it wasn't the case for me. Without power on both sides it simply would not produce a signal. Luckily, as soon as I powered both ends things ran smoothly.

Great Product
Pulled out older runs of copper hdmi cables and replaced with these. Way easier to run. They work great now I have them in. The only reason I knocked one star off is for the covering on the cable. If they could make it more slick and grab less it would be easier to run and be a better product.

eARC works at 50 feet!
So far, so good. Using the 50 foot length for home theater. eARC works as advertised. Tested multiple media formats and sources. My TV is passing through all supported high bandwidth audio codecs. The detachable HDMI connections make it easy to run through conduit or walls. I have the display end plugged into a usb charger for it to have constant power. I have the source end unpowered in my setup. Ruipro was very responsive when I had questions. Would purchase again if the need arises. Setup is Sony XR77A95L, Denon X4800H, Nvidia Shield Pro, Sony Blu ray player. One note and this is not the cables fault. The A95L does not like to pass DTS-HD MA through eARC from its own internal apps. DTS-HD MA will pass through eARC no problem when the Shield is connected to the A95L.

The only HDMI cable that actually works at 5m for 4K HDR high refresh
After wasting time and money on multiple “HDMI 2.1” and “Ultra High Speed” copper cables (including well-reviewed ones), all of which failed with HDR enabled, I finally accepted the reality: at 5 meters, passive cables are mostly marketing. The RUIPRO Gen4A fiber optic HDMI is the only cable that worked reliably. It handles 4K HDR at 165Hz without flickering, signal drops, black screens, or audio issues. Rock solid, even under sustained use. This confirms what most listings don’t admit: many HDMI claims are advertising, not engineering. If you actually need high bandwidth HDR at longer distances, fiber is not optional. it’s the solution. Expensive compared to copper, but cheaper than buying and returning multiple “certified” cables that don’t deliver. Also surprisingly thin and flexible for such a quality. Highly recommended if you care about stability instead of labels.

Solving HDMI Cable Woes with a High-Performance Upgrade
The product has been fantastic so far! I’m using it with my Nvidia Shield Pro, Denon 11.2 receiver, and a 4K laser projector setup. The main reason I purchased this product was to resolve issues with my old HDMI cable, which was routed through the ceiling and couldn’t support HDR10. This new product caught my attention because it supports all the latest standards and delivers uncompressed data at speeds of up to 48Gbps. With those specs, I knew I had to give it a try. So far, it’s been a great solution to my issue. I’ll provide updates regarding quality or any potential issues as I continue using it. -UPDATE- I have been using the product for the last 2 months without issues or concerns. I am now able to watch HDR10+ source without any degradation in picture quality or loss of picture.
