Missing the Former Glory of Carhartt
My husband had a pair of these years ago when we lived in Alaska that I took over (they are perfect for my job!). They were actually a perfect fit and flattering, surprisingly, for a woman's bod! I wore them out over 12 years and now they are shorts since the knees are what gave out. The style number was still on them as well as the size and I found them here. Amazon delivered them quickly and I was so excited to receive them! Sadly, like so many other brands (Levi's for one), they aren't near the quality that they once were. They also don't fit like the ones i commandeered from my husband. They are much thinner and a bit baggier. I still wear the 'shorts' and they fit just right. These, however, are just not the same:( I'm keeping them, tho. I'm disappointed, Carhartt. You were my favorite brand when I used to work and fish in Alaska. And as the 'shorts' prove--great quality that went through hell and back and still held up! Will see how these fare. They are comfortable and the light weight will be good for working out in the hotter weather. Also--I know these are meant to be a lighter weight than the work pants, I am saying that they are way thinner than they used to be. The 12 year old pair that have been washed and worn a zilliontimes are still a heavier weight than the new ones...

Size varies by color apparently
I purchased these pants in navy, tan, and fatigue(gray) in the same size at the same time. The navy fits true to size but for whatever reason, the gray and tan are a whole size smaller in the waist than the navy. Ive purchased several pairs of carhartt pants and jeans and this is the first time that I've had this problem.

Fit Varies Wildly, Horrible Quality Control
I would give these pants a 5+ if the fit was consistent. I've had more than 10 pairs of these pants so far, bought both on Amazon and in stores. The design is great and I want to love them. But the fit is so wildly inconsistent that I have to stop buying these. I always get the same size, but sometimes they come out way too long (or worse) ridiculously tight around the waist. I just ordered and received three pairs, all 32x32 (which is my normal size) and only one of them closes around my waist. Going to have to return the other two. And as for the one that fits... We'll see how it fares after washing them in the instructed warm/dry warm. I've got two pairs that I bought previously that fit fine until I washed them, then shrunk inches in length and significantly in width, to the point of unwearable. Just can't do it any more. Tired of wasting my money.

B151 is one of his favorite summer-weight pants and based on the fit of his ...
I was utterly frustrated with the fact that all cotton women's work pants I could find were low rise - which on my hips means impossible to keep up. I needed work pants that looked more reputable than my many-times-patched 2-decade-old (at least) Eddie Bauer jeans, and finally hit on the strategy of trying on my son's Carhartts to find out if men's pants might fit the bill. B151 is one of his favorite summer-weight pants and based on the fit of his many-times-washed pair, I guessed that 32x34 was a good starting place. I've washed and worn a couple of times, and am quite happy with the weight of the fabric, their ability to stay put (a belt is needed, but I expected that with a men's cut), and ease of movement. The perfect pants would, perhaps, be a bit trimmer, but since I really don't like to feel constricted, chose a model with a bit of spandex in the fabric (Carhartt Rugged Flex Rigby Dungaree Pant) when I tried 31x34. Having washed and worn both pants a couple of times, I've concluded that the spandex is necessary in the smaller size. Both are comfortable, look fine...and now that I've learned about the environmental damage done by the miniscule plastic fibers that wind up in our watersheds as we launder our synthetic clothing, I'm glad to have a 100% cotton option that works.

Fit of these is incorrect.
These pants are in fact, not a dungaree fit. They are "loose original" fit, which may explain why some people have complained about too much variation in size. I already had a pair of these in dungaree fit and loved them, so I bought several more pairs here. Of course since the name says "Dungaree" I assumed that was the fit, but when I got them and tried them on they felt like I was wearing a tarp despite being the same size and still saying B151 on the tag. The pants themselves seem perfectly fine, same quality I always expect from Carhartt, but they need to fix the name of the product so that it's accurate.

A nice, light, strong pair of pants for work!
I'm a millwright working in a hydroelectric generating station so I wear out pants pretty quickly. I am surprised at how durable and tough these pants are considering they are not the heavy canvas Carhartt pants I've purchased in the past which also means they aren't as warm as the heavier canvas!

big gamble to select a size that fits.
I love these pants but they were too big when I received them. I kept wearing them and after several washes, the shrunk a bit. I find them too baggy. They don't fit as per other similar pants I own. I'd hesitate to order more Carhartt products on-line. I prefer to buy pants at a store where you can try them on. I di love the selection in size and color that is available on Amazon.

Best pants if they are the right size
Ordered two pair of these, one brown and one tan. Both pair have the identical tag numbers with the identical sizes & model number. One pair fits perfect and has become my favorite pair of pants. Very comfortable. The other pair is at least an inch smaller and was like that before washing.

Not your typical size
These pants are a nice light weight pant and good for the summer. The sizing was off though and they are a lot baggier in the leg than I expected.Typically a 36x32 but in these work pants I had to get a 38x30.
