I spent over a decade working in commercial kitchens, many of which used Simple Green products for myriad surfaces, so I was excited to see this stuff meant for household use, as I find Simple Green to be the most effective for a good clean without an over abundance of chemicals. Came just in time too - we had a ton of scuff marks, rust spots and built up grease under and around our vinyl floors after updating our appliances that regular strength, grocery store floor cleaner just wasn’t up to the task to truly clean and lift stains. Not only did this lift hard water and grease stains, it actually changed the color of our kitchen floors from a beige-yellow to a light tan (gross, but this is clearly a super concentrated, effective floor cleaner for an old house in dire need of deep cleaning.) I love that I can use just a half a cup for a two gallon mop bucket. The concentration is great and will allow us to stretch the product depending on the amount of dirt and grime we need to tackle. I’ve used this on vinyl kitchen flooring, LVP in a bathroom, tile in a mudroom and hardwood floors in a living room, and have only needed to run a water mop over the hardwood and tile for extra shine, though this isn’t going to magically make anything “sparkle,” it’s just going to make your floors look a whole lot cleaner than before mopping with this formula. The laminate and vinyl floors did not need any extra passes with a water mop and everything looks pretty streak free, so I’d say bonus points for an easy to use, one to two pass product. The scent smells like any other citrus cleaner to my nose. It’s inoffensive and neutralizes relatively quickly once the floors are dry. And the floors, especially laminate and tile based, dry QUICKLY compared to other leading mop solution brands. Hardwood floors take about a full hour to dry on their own, but for the end result of truly clean looking hardwood, it’s worth the dry time. Overall: I like this stuff a lot. It’s saving us time and money being able to use the same product for all our many flooring materials and is so concentrated that this jug will likely last us six months for a mid-sized home. This is the first time I’ve felt like our floors got a truly good clean since we moved in several months ago and I’m still in awe of the stain lifting it accomplished in our outdated, grimy kitchen. Additional tip for extra stain lifting and shine: run a steam mop over any deep set stains prior to mopping and a foam mop of just water over extra dirty floors for the best result.

I bought this floor cleaner because my kitchen floor was starting to look like it had given up on life. One round with this stuff and suddenly it’s like my floors filed for a fresh start. It cuts through the mystery grime (the kind no one in my house will admit to) and leaves everything looking way cleaner than I expected. The best part? It smells like I actually tried. My husband walked in and asked if I hired someone. Nope—just me, a mop, and this gallon of “pretend I have my life together.” If you’ve got floors that have seen some things… this stuff brings them back from the dead.

I used this to fill up my refillable tanks on my mops. The smell is great and it cleans super well and no rinsing required. I use this on laminate and wood floors both. The quality is high with this brand and it’s very effective and at a great price point for such a large jug. It’s Super easy to use and leaves my floors looking amazing.

I decided to tackle the accumulated scuff marks and grease spots on my kitchen vinyl using this cleaner. The concentration is surprisingly potent so I only needed a small amount in the bucket to see results. It lifted the grime effectively and left the surface feeling clean rather than sticky. The lemon verbena scent is present but faint enough that it does not linger aggressively. If you don't know what this smells like, I think it smells similar to lemon PEZ. While it worked wonders with a traditional microfiber mop I discovered it creates far too much foam for a powered vacuum mop. If you use a machine you might find yourself managing a sudsy mess that requires extra time to clear. The gallon jug offers excellent value given how little solution is required per wash. The design of the handle feels sturdy and allows for a controlled pour which prevents waste. I noticed my hardwood floors in the hallway took significantly longer to dry compared to the tile areas so patience is required there. Do not expect the high gloss finish shown in marketing images as it leaves a natural matte look instead. It is a reliable workhorse for deep cleaning but strictly for manual application.

Finally a Simple Green without the classic stink—cleans epoxy garage floors streak-free. Concentrate goes far, safe on sealed surfaces. it works well, and I trust it.
