Bought this for our $100 DeLonghi espresso machine and have been shocked at the impact and improvement. We have been brewing espresso with the stock portafilter and pressurized basket for about 4 years. We played around with a finer grind size and can’t believe how much better the output is from this portafilter vs the stock one. Other reviews on here about messy cleanup and watery discharge seem like user error is possible. I also should note, we also chose to spend money on a premium grinder—which I strongly recommend, but its not required. You do need a decent grinder for espresso. We were considering purchasing an “upgraded” espresso machine, but now…we are going to enjoy the impact of this $30 portafilter and the delicious espresso it produces.

Pretty solid portafilter. I read in previous comments that the brand name was placed very conspicuously on the handle, but it seems they took heed and decided to put the brand much smaller on the neck above the handle, so good on them for taking feedback into account. I've been using it for about 8 months and it's been working well for the most part. It works well with the basket it comes with but when I switched to an IMS basket, it can get stuck in the group head (DeLonghi ECP) when you take the portafilter off, which is just a minor inconvenience. Overall a good value when used in its entirety!

Seems to work as intended. I'm still working on getting proper shots pulled but I think the major of my issue is needing a better grinder and some user error. Initially it felt a little tight when using but I was adding too much coffee and it is much smoother after a few uses

Me gustó cómo se siente y se vé. Sólida construcción y muy bien peso. Lo único que no me gustó es que queda muy ajustada en la Barista Express, tanto en la cabeza cómo para colocarle el anillo de dosificación.

If you’re upgrading a Delonghi machine, this is a great add-on. The fit was spot on for my machine and locked in securely with no wobble. Build quality feels solid and the bottomless design really helps dial in shots and see what’s actually going on with your extraction. It feels like a legit upgrade rather than a gimmick. For the money, this is excellent value compared to much more expensive portafilters. Totally worth it if you’re into espresso even a little.
