NEW YORK TIMES AND #1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER โข The award-winning authors and podcasters Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, and Amanda Doyle created We Can Do Hard Thingsโ the guidebook for being aliveโto help fellow travelers find their way through life. When you travel through a new country, you need a guidebook. When you travel through love, heartbreak, joy, parenting, friendship, uncertainty, aging, grief, new beginningsโlifeโyou need a guidebook, too. We Can Do Hard Things is the guidebook for being alive. Every day, Glennon Doyle spirals around the same questions: Why am I like this? How do I figure out what I want? How do I know what to do? Why canโt I be happy? Am I doing this right? The harder life gets, the less likely she is to remember the answers sheโs spent her life learning. She wonders: Iโm almost fifty years old. Iโve overcome a hell of a lot. Why do I wake up every day having forgotten everything I know? Glennonโs compasses are her sister, Amanda, and her wife, Abby. Recently, in the span of a single year, Glennon was diagnosed with anorexia, Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer, and Abbyโs beloved brother died. For the first time, they were all lost at the same time. So they turned toward the only thing thatโs ever helped them find their way: deep, honest conversations with other brave, kind, wise people. They asked each other, their dearest friends, and 118 of the worldโs most brilliant wayfinders: As youโve traveled these roadsโmarriage, parenting, work, recovery, heartbreak, aging, new beginningsโhave you collected any wisdom that might help us find our way? As Glennon, Abby, and Amanda wrote down every life-saving answer, they discovered two things: 1. No matter what road we are walking down, someone else has traveled the same terrain. 2. The wisdom of our fellow travelers will light our way. They put all of that wisdom in one place: We Can Do Hard Thingsโ a place to turn when you feel clueless and alone, when you need clarity in the chaos, or when you want wise company on the path of life. We are all life travelers. We donโt have to travel alone. We Can Do Hard Things is our guidebook. I initially listened to the audio edition of the book through my local library. Hearing Abby, Glennon and Amanda share their insights on life was so moving I knew I needed to get the print copy of the book. There is so much in this book I know I will go through it time and again. Identifying my attachment style was so freeing, as was identifying my family role. Now I understand much better why I am who I am. And that is just the first section. The entire book is very informative and enlightening. They draw from many others, honestly sharing their own experiences. I don't think I have ever heard people being so honest about who they are and why. This is a life changing book. Review: Every woman should read this book. - Every woman should read this book. Very accessible, many different voices, opinions, and quotes. Practical not academic.

A great how-to guide for life
This is a great book to have and to read when you need some inspiration. Definitely not a read cover-to-cover-in-one-sitting style book. I think itโd be a good gift for someone going through life changes or struggles as well.

Hodgepodge of quotes
Itโs a journal-like collection of quotes (complete with line drawings and wildly different type size throughout) from guests of the WCDHT podcast. Since Iโm an avid listener, Iโve heard most of them already. I was hoping for essays that wove in these glimpses of wisdom cohesively, but this feels like a scrapbook. I find it difficult to digest since it jumps around so much, and the design is not to my taste. Doesnโt diminish the beauty and wisdom that is contained in these pages, and I will pick it up now and then for inspiration, now that I know what to expect!

Wisdom made accessible
If you're committed to your own personal growth, get the book. You can tell a lot of hard work went into this. I've been a listener of the podcast since the beginning and yes the content captured in the book is from their podcast which I'm so grateful for because unless you are taking notes from every episode, organizing them, and then categorizing, it's so easy to forget the all the nuggets of wisdom. This guidebook makes the content accessible and easy to reference when you need it. Thank you Glennon, Abby, and Amanda for the deep work you're doing so we can all benefit. Was so happy to purchase this book so I could give back a fraction of what I've gotten from your podcast. Thank you, truly. P.S. - Saw you three in Tysons over the weekend on your book tour. Was so sweet to watch Tish perform. What a beautiful soul - she is so lucky to have you three as family <3

Very helpful.
I liked the format of this book. Short vignettes, advice, thoughts, all are placed logically one after the other. Itโs a book to read or a book to dip in to.
