this is the best cane I've ever had. It's also the easiest to adjust than I've ever had, and I have arthritis. The colors can scratch, so I'm careful with it. But frankly, if it's scratched all over, it would still be the best cane I've ever had. And as an added big benefit, it's super lightweight and I can even hold it when I'm walking if I need to. Most quad cans cannot do that. And oddly it's off center with the cane itself and that keeps it totally straight and upright. So glad I found it

I've been using this Vive quad cane daily for a month and like it very much. It is lightweight and stands up by itself on a level surface. The base is 5"x8.5" - large enough to provide stability but not heavy or clunky-looking. The hand grip is a smoothe, firm material that is washable and comfortable on my hand ( I prefer it to the foam-type grips which cannot be washed clean). I got the blue and it is very pretty. The blue finish can get scratched by sharp objects so be careful.

The most sturdy of canes we have tried. My husband is recovering from a stem cell transplant, and this can has helped him become more steady on his feet. You can feel the sturdiness in the cane the moment you take it out of the box. Adjusting the height is simple, and the screw adjustment is much more reliable than the twist kind without the screw knob). Probably the wrong term, bu you can see from the picture on their listing. The base of the cane is great, no more worrying about it falling over, and then having an already unsteady person try and pick it up. It has proven useful walking to the car, through the hospital and around the house. While I look forward to the day we don't need it, I am grateful we have it now. We will keep it for future use if/when needed. I think this would be a great cane for the elderly too, because of the solid and wider base.

We bought this for a little elderly lady who needed a cane that was supportive. Unfortunately it's too heavy for her to walk with. We assumed we could return it to Kohls like we normally with Amazon. But this has to be returned to the company with an almost $10 shipping charge instead. We also destroyed the container it came in which is a very long oblong box that would be hard to even find to send it in. It is too much trouble, so we decided we will donate it somewhere. I am not being negative on the quality of the cane. It really is a great cane and worth buying. Our friend is a petite lady and it was too cumbersome for her. This is to make sure people do know if you are not sure do not destroy the box and be aware there will be a return shipping charge.

My husband just tried this after arguing that he really did not need it..the regular wooden cane was ok for him. The PT who works with me really urged me to order this cane because it would be so much more stable than the one he had. So he tried it and keeps it with him all the time. What a difference. And he walks around the house so much more because he is much more stable...on tile, cement, and / or carpet. This is a Fabulous product. It is adjustable for height, works for right or left hands, has a very comfortable grip and is light enough to handle easily despite his frailty. I cannot recommend it strongly enough.

This quad cane should be prescribed to anyone who has experienced a back or leg injury and no longer can maintain proper balance without the aid of an assistive device. This is the second cane that I invested in for my mom who has been recovering from a spinal fracture. The first one was really loose and weak even after I made all the adjustments. In fact, the old cane created more risks for my mom. However, the quad cane is on a league of its own. Superb quality, durable finish and stylishness make it stand out among its competitors. I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is trying to recover from a back injury resulting from accidents like "slip and fall." Feels safe to use and grab on to during exercise routines.

I just received my new cane this morning. There is a night and day difference with this footed cane, and my regular cane. I wish I could have had this one a very long time ago. It truly is a lifesaver for me, not falling. I feel 100% safer with the stability of my new cane. I can get around my apartment so much safer/easier, as well as if I go outside. Purchase with confidence. You will not be disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about this cane. Also, there is no assembly. You only have to adjust to your height preference. Very quick and easy. I’m so very thankful I found this on Amazon. I’m thinking about purchasing another one for my children to keep in their car for me. Update - I love how the cane stands up as well. I sit It right beside me and it does not tip over. It’s so great. My regular cane always falls on the ground.

It seems to be well made. I was a bit annoyed that Amazon's new shipping policies result in my having to drive into town to the post office whereas before ordering Prime meant delivery to your door. I have difficulty walking as why I ordered the cane and we live several miles to a post office so there was a delay on getting the cane. I liked the fact that there were settings for left and right sides. The cane does seem to be wobbly though when I press down. Maybe lack of arm strength hinders this, but be aware of this factor. It does help me with a sense of better balance, but I still feel safer with my walker. Maybe I just have to get more used to using the cane when I go out.

The stick is nice, looks nice but the product quality could have been better. The stick rattles on the joints and makes noise every time it touches the ground while walking. To add to it the rubber mounts keep coming off. My father fell off coz of the rubber mount coming off. The stick is not worth the price spent on it!

Ideal for my 92 year old friend. A very stable stick.

4 stars for high quality given small price...however it's a bit heavier than many would like (if joints are problematic, or not strong enough to lift it)...Excellent on flat surfaces indoors - nice & sturdy! Thank you Vive.
