Stainless Steel WWII US Army Canteen Water Bottle Military Canteen Kit 1QT with 0.5QT Cup Nylon Pouch G.I.

I received my canteen with nesting cup and carrying pouch today. My first impression was good overall. The pouch is good enough for light day hiking or camping excursions. There is two ways to carry this pouch, either a web utility belt or it has a standard belt loop. I would loved it to have moly but for the price I am not complaining. The nesting cup fits inside the pouch well and the canteen fits inside of it securely. The folding lockable handle is adequate and functions well. The canteen seems well made and free of defects. The cap is adequate and FYI, there is a silicone gasket that may be fully seated in the cap or it may simply be under the cap and when you remove the cap the white gasket may easily get lost. It is easily seated in the cap if yours arrives like that. Even after seating it seems like the gasket will stick to the canteen while unscrewing the lid. Just be mindful of that, if the gasket is lost the lid will not seal and it will leak. The cap chain is heavy enough and the mounting points seem up to the task it was designed for. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and I am happy to recommend this to anyone.

Lids do not seal. Bought some ceramic super glue, food grade. Perfect. Minor flaw from manufacturer. Seller great. Excellent, perfect product for camping, prep. Perfect. Just a bit of glue(food safe glue). Ty seller. I wish all great products were half price with a 5.00 fix need. Buy now

At first I thought. WOW it’s a little heavy but considering it’s stainless plus a pot it’s pretty nice. Well made. Don’t have to worry about any plastic aftertaste. I’m liking it better than my plastic ones despite being a bit heavier.

Absolutely looks like it does in the picture. Most certainly is the old style canteen except its brand new. Canteen cup is old style design but not as well made as the one I had in the Marines. The cup is not as sturdy and the handle is flimsy(thinner). Even the handle lock Is not as stout as the military one. Just adding water into the cup, the handle is stressed and bends under the weight. Never had that problem with my actual military cup. I've had both styles of canteen cups. Butterfly handle and fold down. I'll see how long this will last. Everything functions properly too include the can teen pouch. The pouch is not as thick as the real military one but should prove to be adequate. Overall it's OK for the price and good for hiking/camping. Due to the fact that it is metal, try not to drop it on ANY hard surface as it will dent. SgtWall USMC

Perfect size, hasn't leaked, love the design, it is very comfortable on the hip, whilst running it bobs quite a bit with the water inside but it is still very comfortably and after a while I don't even realise it's there. The screw in the lid is sticking out a bit but I haven't had any problems with it, and I feel if I screw it down it might puncture the lid. So I'm happy where it is. The cover is nice and sturdy. I haven't used the cup to heat up water yet but I'm sure it holds true. Perfect piece of equipment to go with my airsoft. And day to day use. 100 %recommend.

I’ve taken it on a few hikes and bushcraft outings, and it’s held up very well with no dents or issues so far. The canteen fits securely into the included stainless steel cup, which is a big plus. You can boil water or heat up food right in the cup over a fire, and it nests together neatly when not in use. The butterfly handles on the cup are a bit thin, but functional once you get used to them. The cap is attached to the bottle by a chain, which keeps it from getting lost, though the seal on mine was a bit stiff at first and needed a few uses to loosen up. The threads screw on tightly, with no leaks. It’s heavier than a plastic alternative, for sure, but I think the durability and versatility make it worth it—especially if you're doing wilderness camping, survival training, or just prefer gear that feels dependable. All in all, a solid piece of kit that combines utility with that old-school appeal.
