Origami Paper 500 sheets Chiyogami Patterns 6" 15cm: Tuttle Origami Paper: Double-Sided Origami Sheets Printed with 12 Different Designs (Instructions for 6 Projects Included)

I am a beginner so I can't speak really technically, but I really really like this paper. I have bought about half a dozen sets of origami paper .. well first nothing close to as inexpensive per paper this one is. So cheap I was kinda fearing the worst that something would probably be wrong with it. but figured I would roll the dice. I couldn't be more happy. Again a beginner so I can't explain why exactly but the paper is easier to fold or feels better in the hand vs other brands I have tried. The designs are nice and tasteful IMO. nothing crazy but more interesting than the designs on the other printed paper origami kits I have ordered. And the bonus is that like many other origami sets there is a little guide showing a few designs. I always try these out and usually they are pretty bad, honestly often due to translating the design. Which is no big deal bc its included as a bonus with the paper, its not like buying a whole book devoted to oragami and its incomprehensible in english which would be a problem. The little guide in this book I really enjoyed. It had 5 designs, all of which were explained clearly and all worked. 4 of the designs were constructions that I had made in some form or another relying on a different resource and in each of the 4 cases when I tried it out I preferred all 4 of the designs in the little pamphlet included in this product in terms of both ease and final result vs the designs I had used previously. I particularly recommend the starbox design .. something that I have made but it has been very tricky for me using the designs I was following vs this products pamphlet's starbox design that took just a couple minutes to make and also the result looked better

I really like this assortment of papers, the patterns are nice and the coordinating colors on the reverse match well. The patterns aren't quite as bright as the pictures but still lovely. The paper has an average thickness for origami paper, not the thinnest I've seen but not overly thick by any means, and it has a nice sheeny feel. One thing to note is that this paper is a full 6 inches square, rather than 15 cm (6 in and 15 cm are very close but not trivially different, despite most origami paper being marketed as both). While most origami paper I've ordered is really 15 cm, this package is a true 6 inches so is a smidge bigger. So far that hasn't affected combining it with other (15 cm) papers in modular models, but worth knowing.

I am very pleased with the quality of this origami paper. It's surface is a delight to the fingers, smooth to the touch with beautifully finished designs. This is "double- sided paper" which means it had been dpped or dyed twice. One side has one of 12 detailed patterns, the other is a solid color. I feel like this adds more depth to my origami projects. The paper serves well for simple projects but is durable enough to accomplish advanced origami designs requiring many folks and manipulations. I've included a photo of a simple sailboat I made this morning as well as images of both sides of these designs. The price was right and the product is high quality. They even included a small pamphlet with some origami patterns. Highly recommend!

Perfect size for covering a 4x4 outer journal cover. Good selection of graphics & colors. I also use these in collage & postcards that I make, the designs add interest to the backgrounds.

I love this paper, I'm not a professional in making origami but a few things I've noticed in this paper. I have bought multiple sets in different patterns and just wanted to give out a few things for someone looking to buy this paper to keep in mind. First off, the patterns are amazing but, sometimes the quality can look low on some of the patterns as some people have noticed, the other sets have this same issue that some patterns can look low quality, there's this one paper that looks like it had gold foil inlaid lines but someone just took a picture of it and it looks kind of weird, I think personally they should remove this pattern and add another pattern that looks better. Second thing is this paper is I guess "double-sided", the pattern isn't copied onto the other side, (personally doesn't really bother me but just in case if someone wanted to know) instead on the other side it's a solid color with no patterns. This applies to the other sets they sell. Lastly, the thing that kind of bothers me with this paper, it isn't a perfectly cut square. The other issues this paper has doesn't really bother me but this issue does. I love this paper but it can get in the way of folding and such. I had better luck folding sticky notes and not worrying about things not lining up well. It's the same issue with other sets and you can see it clearly that they vary in size even though the sets all say 6x6. Of course I can still fold a good crane that doesn't look bad. I'm not expecting godly quality paper or anything, I just wished they could've focused on making sure things are cut right. All in all, I would give this paper a 4 stars, I love the patterns and the colors of this paper, but 1 star off for the sizing issues. I would probably be returning here to purchase more paper but I'll also be on the look out for more brands who sell patterned paper. But, if you do decide to buy this paper as a beginner I think you would enjoy it and overlook the issues if you like patterned paper like this. Happy folding guys!

Good quality paper for a great price with beautiful designs.

I love these papers, they are nice and thin, super easy to fold- the colors are nice! I also enjoy the origami booklet (comes with butterfly, kimono, crane and star box) There is a mild smell. It gives like an old book smell? It’s not crazy loud Got this for $12.99, -13% For 500 sheets $14 is NOT bad

I bought this pretty paper because I want to use it to teach kids origami in an after-school program. We’ve used plain, one colored paper, but I wanted to try something that may be easier to teach with, so this fit the bill. The print on one side is nice and the solid side compliments the colors well. In practice I found the paper to be sturdy, yet easy to fold. I’m not a seasoned origami artist, but I am really happy with the paper so far. It’s a great value too. I accidentally purchased two packages instead of one, but I decided to keep both because I think it’s beautiful and will be very popular.
