Very light weight tends to feel cheap. The steel stained after use even after carefully following all instructions. Disappointing

I received this Greenpan 11 piece stainless set 6 months ago. I have used all the pans frequently and am very pleased with it. I ordered this set because of the features (stainless, sizes, appearance), not because of the price. Pros: the handles stay extraordinarily cool. the bottom is thick enough to keep even heat. The sizes of the pans are quite useful for different cooking methods and for small to medium quantities. The pans are not too heavy (the 12" saute pan is of course a touch heavy due to its size). They are attractive. Cons: the pans aren't thin, but they're not thick, either - if you are looking for heavy investment quality cookware, this is not the set for you - the cookware will last for a lifetime but possibly dent or bend if dropped on a hard floor. It does not have "non stick" qualities that "non stick" cookware has, but food does not stick often for me after educating myself on youtube on how to use stainless cookware to minimize sticking (I quit "non stick" cookware cold turkey to get away from its harms). The instructions clearly say to handwash the cookware to keep the finish in its best condition - I have opted to do this, and I can tell you its lustrous finish is maintained that way (stainless cookware washed in the dishwasher will dull and microscopically pit, increasing likelihood of food sticking.) The cookware can stain (depending on what you're cooking), but Barkeeper's Friend takes the stains right out.

I was skeptical replacing my non stick pans for stainless steel. But I read about and watched a couple videos about stainless care and use best practices. I am so happy to say that I do not have food sticking or discoloration issues. But I do follow the simple recommendations for preheating the pan and using a little oil in the pan. Even eggs come out without sticking. If I have an issue, I just use Bar Keeper’s Friend and it cleans up shiny as new. I do not put the pans into the dishwasher so to keep the nice finish on them. I do, however, put the glass lids in the dishwasher because it gets the glass cleaner than handwashing. I chose this set particularly because it had the sizes of pans I wanted most. I already had an 8 inch frying pan, so I was happy that this set had 10 and 12 inch pans. Plus I liked that there was an 8 qt stewing pot instead of 6 qt. The sauce pans are nice sizes as well. I love that they can be used stove top or oven. And I was happy that this set had gold handle option. It makes them so pretty. I have been using these pans since Christmas. I love this set and expect to get MANY years of use and enjoyment from them.

I’m excited with my pot set, it’s beautiful and complete. The only but I have is that I wish the gold handle where a little more gold, it’s very light gold and when I wash the pot set it stays with like a blue purple hue , not sure why. I use like Palmolive dish soap and a scrubber that doesn’t scratch the pots so they all look like new it’s just the drying part I guess. I decided to keep my set after the great deal I got. Also, I did notice my food cook quicker than usual, since I have a glass top stove. Update: I’ve had my pots now for a year and they are holding up well. When food stocks to it I leave it in soapy water over night then clean it the next day with a scrub mommy and the pink stuff, which gives the pots shine and removes all the stains bottom and top. See the images , I mean I use them often so so anything that is used often will get some scratches and marks. Note is some of the images I may have lacked a bit on using the pink stuff which removes all stains.

I am so happy with these pans. I love the sizes of the pots and pans. They fit my needs perfectly. I was worried about how they would hold up in the dishwasher, but they seem to be doing great. Rarely does food stick to these pans while cooking.
