Works also with Chromebooks, Windows+Linux PCs, the LG V30+ and other Android devices
Some background info before I come to the specific details of the Rayz PRO: I own an iPhone SE and an iPad (5) and originally came across a pair of rayz "plus" in an amazon warehouse deal. Their sound quality impressed me (not exceptional but very good), the handling is very convenient (the Hearthru mode or the auto-pause functionality for example) and the noise canceling works very well for IEMs (I also own Bose QC25s which are of course better in this respect but bulkier and require batteries). The primary use of my iPhone is actually to listen at home to my iSine 10 IEMs with the "cipher" DAC/cable which is only available for lightning interfaces. The iSine 10s are open-back "IEM" and absolutely not suited for noisy environments. My daily driver phone is however an LG V30(+) and I use several other non-Apple devices (chromebooks/tablets/PCs/DAPs etc.). Thus I was looking for noise cancelling IEMs for these devices for travel/commuting etc.. Prior to the rayz PRO I tested the Xiaomi ANC in-ears with USB-C but those are inferior in noise cancelling and sound quality... The rayz PRO are not yet available here in Germany so I took the risk to order them from the US side and possibly loose the 33$ shipping+import taxes if these don't suit my needs... I do not regret it. They are very good and work with most of my devices(!). Since this is not explicitly stated by Pioneer, I decided to to write this review for others who may want to try it... You have to update (current firmware version is 3.6.0) and configure them (e.g. define the smart key functions for ANC / HearThru / calibration ...) with the iOS app on the iPhone/iPad but afterwards, they can be used on much more devices than advertised here with minor restrictions: - the LG V30(+) android phone with USB-C: nearly perfect, only drawback is that the Apple-style of double/triple-keypresses for skiping tracks does not work on this and all other non-iOS devices. - a chromebook and an asus chromebit cs10 (which has no audio-out-port). The rayz PRO is immediately recognized as USB-1 audio device with in- and output channels. - a windows 7 PC (without specific drivers). I guess t will work as well with win10. It supports several sample rates and bit-depths of up to 48kHz/24bit. - a Linux PC (ubuntu 18.04) with a USB-C(f) to USB-A(m) adapter - the Fiio M9 - an android based digital audio player (DAP) with digital USB-C audio-out. - a cheap China android phone (doogee) with an micro-USB-OTG_to_usb-C cable plus gender-changer adapter ... it does NOT work (properly) with: - another cheap android phone (cubot rainbow 2); the automatically selected sample rate seems to be the lowest possible (8kHz) and it sounds muffled - two other (non-Android) DAPs which support USB-C audio out: the Cayin N3 and the Shanling M0. On both devices, the sample rate and sound quality are ok but the output volume is set to maximum and can't be changed (neither on the remote nor on the device itself) - thus test with caution if you want to keep your hearing. *UPDATE: with the recently released firmware version 2.3 of the Shanling M0, the volume control of the USB-audio-output stream to the Rayz PRO now works also on this device* Ther are only two (minor) annoyances: the USB-C plug is too tight indeed and its housing is also a bit too big to properly fit if the phone is in a case. But overall I am very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend these for Apple users but also for others who like to experiment a bit with their devices.

Overall are a great product with some shortcomings
First off I have the conference speaker and love it, that's what motivated me to buy the headphones. The headphones should be amazing however they have some shortcomings. First off I ordered the Pro because I wanted the lightning and usb-c, I don't understand why each connector has an adaptor, I assumed it would be a lightning connector on the end and have a usb-c to lightning adaptor included. Instead both are separate adaptors and go to some non standard adaptor on the headphones. So if you loose the adaptor your out of luck. On the pro it came with "comfort tip" memory foam earbuds and silicon tips and silicon tips with wings to hold them in your ear. The comfort tips are not glued onto the headphones. The documentation included is not very robust but the tips do come off. I recommend going to comfort tips website to learn more about them. The silicon tips with wings go onto the end of the earbud. I've included a picture to show you how they go. Make sure the hole in the silicon is lined up with the microphone. When I first received these I didn't have the wing tips on all the way; and it's not clear in the instructions...anyways see attached pictures. Anker does make a usb-c to lighting cable adaptor and Anker states it is compatible with this headphone, so I returned this one, received a Pioneer Rayz Plus and basically with the adaptor it has the same functionality but better since I do not have an adaptor with some weird connector. As for the app and updating the headphones that worked perfectly, same as with my conference speaker. I really love that these are noise cancelling and pick up power from the lightning port, I was so excited when I found these since it's something I don't have to worry about keeping charged and the fact they have a usb-c adaptor so I can use them directly on my computer is amazing. However I recommend the Rayz or Rayz Plus and purchasing the Anker adaptor that is mentioned. If you don't need/want/or play to charge while using the headphones you probably want the Rayz and not the Rayz Plus since they are cheaper and less bulky, since the lack the charging port. Only issue I will bring up is I'm not sure about the location of the inline remote/mic. It's kinda large and up high. It doesn't affect wearing the headphones but I'm used to apple design, size, weight and this is more noticeable. It's not bad but will take an adjustment. I like the fact I can program the smart buttons through the app and change the functions, audio prompts, autopause, smart mute, voice isolation, etc... Pioneer customer support has been amazing, they contacted me with issues on the product and worked through everything and I'm 100% satisfied with the resolution.

Great headphones but usbc doesnโt always work
I have these Rayz headphones that are wired and a pair of Bose qc 35 IIs and more often than not, I find myself wearing these for everyday use while not actively at my computer. Pros: - donโt need to charge! This is the biggest one for me - pretty comfy - does a pretty great job at blocking out the noise, even without the sound - playthru option so you can hear everything still - unlike other wired headphones, can charge your iphone at the same time - comes with usbc option and when it works it works great - mic quality is good - no lag compared to bluetooth - one less thing draining my phoneโs battery vs bluetooth headphones Cons - usb c connection stopped working for me :( it was a secondary benefit for me but thatโs why I took a star off. - usbc connection needed a really snug/tight connection so sometimes it was hard to get in and out - sometimes wires get tangly

Donโt work
I purchased these, and didnโt use them for quite awhile. When I finally did use them, they cut in and out when in use, and the microphone doesnโt work at all for recording. Iโd like a return/refund, but it wonโt allow me to process one, as itโs been awhile since I purchased. They are completely useless junk, for a hefty price

My Go-To Earphones for 3+ Years
Every once in a while my desire for new gadgets gets me looking for upgrades. Iโve been using these for a few years now, and when I look for upgrades, all I want is another pair of Rayz. More than three years later Iโm still loving these, sometimes you canโt beat the convenience of wired headphones and the Rayz Pro sound and feel great. Even just using the Comply earphone tips as a noise isolation is really helpful for meetings, and the flexibility of switching between Lightning and USB-C have made these essential kit when Iโm on the move for work. Iโve traveled with them quite a bit and everything is still in good working order. The cables arenโt showing wear at stress points, and it feels solid and still makes a satisfying click when making those connections to the adapters and to my phone or computer. I also lost the carrying case with an adapter inside a while ago, and customer support was very quick to help me get a replacement which was definitely appreciated. Iโm really happy with this product, and I hope to see more offerings from this brand.

There's a pop sound when it starts playing some sound files
The price has come down quite a bit since I bought these. Anyway, I wanted wired headphones for a few reasons, the most important being that I use my smartphone and tablet to study foreign languages using apps like Rosetta Stone or flashcards with sound files etc. When I use Bluetooth headphones, because the sound is starting and stopping all the time instead of just being turned 'on' like watching a movie or listening to music, the Bluetooth connection can be a bit annoying as it seems to into a sleep mode of sorts. The first part of the sound files often get cut off. I was very surprised to notice that with these headphones the same thing happens as with Bluetooth. I think it's a software thing. I didn't use the headphones too much before updating to the latest firmware but it was after updating the firmware that I definitely noticed it. I can't really go back and forth to truly test this. Notifying tech support got them to replace the headset quickly enough and hassle free but the replacement headsets all have the same problem. Their techs apparently can't reproduce this issue. I find that hard to believe. I suspect they just don't know how to fix it. That's a big issue for hence I'm writing this review and focusing on it. Otherwise I'm very happy with the headphones. I like the sound quite a bit. The noise cancelling is noticeably helpful although not as good as Bose. They're quite comfortable. I wore them at work today all day listening to music without any issues. The software on the app has a sound equalizer. If you had a stereo back in the day with a sound equalizer but have been listening to all of your music on a smartphone or iPod for years now you may have forgotten how awesome this can be. It has some nice presets like bass enhance and a voice enhance. I love both settings. I find I understand foreign language podcasts, music, tv shows etc., better with the voice enhance setting. It's wonderful. I don't get why their tech team is in denial about this popping at the beginning of some sound clips. I notice it mostly with voice clips.. Rosetta Stone is really frustrating to use with this.

Very comfortable and impressive sound!
I love these headphones! Fit: They are extremely comfortable and various earpieces are included to provide a perfect fit. I used the earpieces that were installed from the factory. They are made with the same type of expansion foam that are used on earplugs. Sound: These headphones sound amazing! The bass performance is quite impressive. Iโve owned other compact headphones in the past and they did not provide the same amount of bass as these headphones. The vocals and the high frequencies are smooth and rich without harshness. Active Noise Cancellation: Works great! I tested these headphones in the patio of a local coffee shop that was located next to a busy street. I was listening to music at a low volume level and I did not hear any of the noise from the cars passing by. Iโm very happy with this purchase. These are high quality headphones that are well made.

Good sound, bad design
First of all, I'm an audio engineer, which doesn't make me any more qualified to judge the sound of these earbuds, but I will say I'm picky about sound and about my daily commuter headphones. These sound very good, and the app has a lot of room to customize the earbuds to your individual taste. The bass is rich and mid and high range frequencies are clear. The maximum volume is not as high as other earbuds I have owned but it's a good max volume, especially when paired with noise cancelation which does a great job. So why the mediocre overall review? This model of the Rayz (pro) comes with a clunky lighting and USB c adapter, which is bulky and adds weight to the already heavy shielded cable. Why is that a problem? Since the bulk and weight are near the lightning plug, it easily wiggles itself out of the port on my iPhone and loses the connection which pauses the music. It is extremely temperamental and sensitive. It came unplugged constantly and was extremely annoying. The weight of the cable also kept pulling the earbuds slightly out of my ears and sometimes fell out completely. I returned the earbuds and ordered the standard Rayz, which I have not experienced this issue with. I would assume the Rayz plus with charging port built in to the cord has similar issues because of the added weight and bulk near the plug. I would give the original Rayz a 5 star rating, as they are great sounding earbuds and I'm not experiencing any issues with them thus far.

Perfect Headpohne
This headphone's quality is much better than Beats which is broken after a month. This product is totally worthy for its price!

One of a kind - charge phone and listen to music simultaneously
Able to charge to an external battery back while listening to music. Also can change to USB-C and use with the iPad Pro device. However when using USB-C one cannot charge while listening. One can also install the app and adjust noise cancellation setting to the earphone.

Good product for the price, cheaper than other retailers
Definitely decent noise cancelling for the price, I do not regret buying!

Good idea on paper, sub-average end product
Despite coming with 4 tip sizes and 1 pair of complex foam tips, I canโt find a comfortable fit. The clip for the wire snapped when using for the first time. The noise cancelling only isolated slightly more noise then my simple in-ear beatsX, not worth the trouble of the dangling wire in todayโs day and age. Lastly, the sound quality in my option is slightly worse than the standard EarPods.
