Good texture, very meaty, cat thought it was just OK
I'm very familiar with this brand of cat food from my local pet store and it's in line with the quality of food I tend to buy my cat (grain free, high meat, shreds or in broth) Overall the texture looked excellent to me. The smell was a bit strong due to the high amount of organ meat. Sadly there isn't a fish variant, only meat and primarily poultry with added organ meat. My cat thought it was just OK. She would eat it but left a lot over compared to other grain free brands we buy. The price is slightly higher than what I usually pay for, so it's a little disappointing. But overall the quality is clearly very high given the big chunks and shreds of meat with little broth/separation. I can't for the life of me figure out what makes this "after dark" and the packaging doesn't explain. It's a mystery!

⚠️ dangerous
This cat food is full of sharp and dangerous bone fragments and shards, one was over an inch long. It should be recalled immediately.

Cats seem to love it
Everytime I served up some of this my cats went crazy for it. I’m definitely going to try to see what other flavors they might like.

Good Quality Cat Food That My Cat Seems to Enjoy
My cat seems to like this food. It looks very moist, and she’s always eager to eat it. It doesn’t have a strong fishy smell, which I appreciate since some fish-based foods can be a bit overwhelming. The consistency is nice and shredded, and it seems to be a good balance of protein-rich ingredients. The only thing I was concerned about was the added sunflower oil. I don’t love the idea of seed oils being added to foods, but otherwise, the food seems well-made and my cat enjoys it. It is a little pricey—about $2.30 per can in the 12-pack—but it feels like a premium cat food that’s worth it for my cat’s health and enjoyment.

Missing 11 Cans
This is the Tiki Cat After Dark Shreds Wet Cat Food, Chicken, Quail & Chicken Liver. First off, this was supposed to have 12 cans of food and I only received 1 can. Splitting 1 can between 5 cats is a little hard to do. However, I was able to split it between them just so they could try it. The smell and texture seemed okay, the size was really small. And I am giving it 3 stars because only 3 out of my 5 cats would eat it. Therefore, just like all cat food, this is something you will just need to test with your cats as they all like different flavors.

Cat approves, but only received one can?
My fussy eater actually went for this. He can be particular, but he seemed to really enjoy the chicken and quail recipe, cleaning his bowl pretty quickly. Looking at the food, you can see actual shreds of meat, and the ingredient list reads like a quality meal, which makes me feel good about serving it. It’s always a relief when he takes to a new food so readily. The problem, however, was with how my order arrived. I was expecting a twelve pack of cans, but instead, a single can showed up, packaged loosely in a bubble envelope. For that one can, the charge was twenty seven dollars and forty eight cents, which is a startling amount for three ounces of cat food. I’m really hoping this was just some kind of mix up with the order fulfillment because that price for a single can is quite something.

I couldn't get my cats to eat it.
I'm going to rate this how I believe my cats would've rated it. My cats were begging for food, but once this cat food went into their bowls, they walked away. The next morning the food remained uneaten. It looks like cat food. It smells like cat food. But my cats wouldn't touch it.
