Made in the good ole USA!
I've been a bushcraftsman over 16 years now. I bought this knife a year ago and have used it to cut, chop, and split wood for fires and it still has it's edge and holding up very well. Amazing knife especially seeing it is hand made which i also love, because it's the only one of it's kind as being hand made, no knife is the same. Definitely worth the money. This knife is better than $200 knives. Couldn't ask for more. Strong, durable, thick spine is good for splitting logs, keeps an edge but soft enough to easily sharpen, heavy enough to chop wood without spending energy, nice thumb grip for sharpening wood for arrows, friction fire, ect. Nice balance and the sheath is amazing and well made to last. In today's world most stuff is made cheap, this is old school American made to last! A must buy!

Good knife, excellent value.
I bought this knife as an entry level Bushcraft knife. I am very pleased with the knife I received. Fit, finish and overall craftsmanship, in my opinion, are excellent. The spine of this knife allowed me to scrape some decent flakes from my cheap ferro rod, then cast some serious sparks from that rod. This made igniting scraped Birch bark very easy. While the knife may feel a bit chunky to some, I was able to carve some decent test notches into a "try stick". For me, the Moorhaus full Tang Bushcraft knife more than meets my needs and expectations for a Bushcraft knife. UPDATE: I am probably atypical in my belief that it's not what you can do to a knife but what you can do with it that's important. I typically carve a try stick to test it's ability as well as looking to see how it feels in the hand, does it cause hotspots or blisters, etc . As another task I will also use it to make dinner , not an unreasonable task for an all-around knife. In this case I used mine to prepare the ingredients for portuguese kale soup. While no one would swap this for a proper chefs knife, the Moorhaus held it's own. It's sharpness was an asset in slicing onions and chopping the kale.. It's utility in chopping carrots was disappointing, as it tended to split them more like a wood splitting maul, due to its thickness. Slicing through the meat be and sausage and beef was predictably easy due to its sharpness. The cutting board did dull the knife a bit, but a couple swipes across a butcher steel brought the blade back to paper slicing sharp. The handle was very comfortable in the hand. I feel no hotspots or discomfort while either carving or cutting up dinner. In short, handy knife. It'll do.

Sheath doesn't fit the knife.
The Moorhaus knife itself looks and feels good. I've got a huge problem with the sheath. It may be made well but it's not made for this knife. The knife can slide and fall out at any time, very disappointing. I'll probably have a sheath made for it, spending more money than I expected. Would not recommend due solely on the sheath.

Seller should update photos
The knife is great. The sheath is nice too. It all looks and feels great, and it came sharp. My only problem is that it seems like when you order this knife you don't know exactly what you're going to get. The advertised picture differs in a few ways from the knife I received, and when I look at pictures from other reviewers, I see knives that are different from both the knife I received and the advertised pictures. My knife has a 4" handle and a 5" blade. No notches on the back of the blade near the handle.

Bushcraft Knife
This Bushcraft Knife is so beautiful and very well made, that I don't know where to start. The Blade is very thick and the wood handle is very well put together and it feels good in your hand. Not to bulky, not to thin just perfect, the knife has a little weight to it which I love it, because it gives you a feeling of handling the knife with precision. The Sheath is so beautiful and very well made I was shocked of the quality of the leather. If You take care this sheath well it will last you a life time, the same with the knife. People this will be the perfect gift for anybody especially and outdoor person just like my self. A Bushcraft aficionado will love to have this knife for a fraction of the cost of other brands that are over priced. Buy yours today, you won't regret it I guarantee you that. For the money you can't go wrong, the knife has its imperfections but they only add character to the knife and for the price and craftsmanship you can't really complain........ Get yours right away!!!

Heirloom quality at Schrade prices!!!
Excellent Knife...heirloom quality at $40.00 price point! Vender sent it out right away, I waited 3 days total for the knife and that was including a Sunday. About the blade: a VERY sturdy bushcraft knife. The only bells and whistles is the single mosaic pin. Fit and finish is perfect, no structural flaws to this knife. Very high quality for a $40.00 price point! If you’re thinking about buying it, STOP!!! AND BUY IT NOW!!! Sheath: high quality thick and durable leather. Extremely tight fit at first, but again, heirloom quality! Unbelievable package for $40.00! Any bad reviews are probably competitors, because this knife is stout and durable. A great bushcraft knife; simple design, good metal, great ergonomic handle, and excellent sheath! You won’t be disappointed! Don’t buy a schrade when you can own this knife! Support these independent knife makers! Making America Great Again. Thank you Moorhaus knives! Y’all do amazing work!
