I purchased this CarPlay device for an older vehicle that I own. I wanted to be able to use Apple Pay to listen to my music and for the use of the navigation system. I can speak for the screen and CarPlay, but I have not hooked up the backup camera. The sound is good and I am able to use my phone hands-free through the device. I will say that the aux port in my vehicle tends to be loose so I did have to rig it for a tighter fit in order to have clearer sound. Honestly, we just stuck a toothpick in there lol. It’s a great alternative to getting a whole new system, especially for the price.

Screen stuck on calibration mode after 2 months of using it. Its e-waste out of the box and the music coming through the unit is skipping like a CD from the beginning of use. The screen freezes and lags behind. Touchscreen seems to not work a lot. But now it has not worked since the second month i bought it. I hung on to it for a while trying to get it to work with the reset button but nothing. Throwing it out today. The most frustrating part is that it turns on and goes to the home screen, but immediately goes to the calibration screen with no response.

UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATER: seller gave me a new device, and it connects to AUX. This then bumps it from a 2 stars to 3 stars. Only negative is the device makes a static sound when the music isn’t playing. I just have learned to turn down my volume when I do not need to listen to music. Original post: Bought this for Prime Day, and have had this working for about 2 months now. Good install, only took 30 mins. Around month three, the AUX port stopped working. I have to tape the AUX from the back to the front to hopefully get audio, but it no longer works. Extremely disappointed. The only function that now works is the FM transmitter, and when traveling long distances, I have to change the channel every few miles due to the cracking. My car does not have Bluetooth, so it’s not an option for me.

6 Month Update upon installing The locking mechanism for the suction cup broke about a month in and has been hanging for the rest of the time. The actual unit is laggy, and has glitches when it comes to using apple and Google maps by freezing the image mid drive. On the first couple of months, the carplay stereo would have no audio when starting my car and I would have to factory reset it every time, leaving the customize background option pointless due to the reset. The screen quality is decent for the price. It is easy to use. Installing the back up camera was easy but the quality of the camera is grainy and not the best out there, any slight shine will leave the camera blinded, but not that bad for night. For what it costs, its decent for a temporary radio.

I’ve owned several of these portable wireless CarPlay screens - they work pretty darn well, and I’ve even been impressed with models that had built-in dash cams- the downside is that they don’t seem to last very long….. I’ve owned a four or five of them. The average lifespan has been maybe a year for the bulk of them 🙁 sadly Additionally none of them are constructed to withstand any kind of extreme temperatures (this is something I’ve also found to be true of most dash cams) I truly wish there was a more reliable version of this product on the market- but after owning five different versions of these screens, I have given up on this product for a while

I wish I would've read the reviews. Please don't waste your money on this product. It worked great for about 10 days and then the lagging and freezing began. I thought it was the firmware so I tried the OTA update, which says it takes just a few minutes. After 45 minutes it still hadn't completed and the screen warns you not to turn off the device or restart until it completes, so now I have a worthless unit and I'm out some money. This is garbage and I wish I could get my money back. Be careful who you buy from. If the description the seller gives seems like a broken language and difficult to comprehend, it's probably a piece of junk. I Love my fellow humans, but the greed within is something I don't like at all. This brand or seller seem to be out to make a quick buck regardless of how poor the product is. So please, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

So, I ordered this because I wanted to use my Aux port in my vehicle for music! As soon as I seen the reviews, I kind of got worried about all the issues everybody was having, mainly the screen freezing and music skipping. Here's a tip for all who are having issues with that, don't have your phone screen on. Remember, it's using your phone to display a screen and if you overload it, you're going to have a bad time! I haven't really had an issue at all. My only big gripe is that the screen is kind of dimmed, even at full brightness. So if the sun reflects on it, you're not really going to be able to see the screen. Install was pretty easy, simple to use, and is quite responsive to touch.

I have these plugged into the aux jack in both of my older vehicles. They work great! At first I tried to replace the stereo, but quickly realized it was expensive and complicated. This is the solution! You’ll need to buy an aux cord for about $5, then just plug it in and you have CarPlay.
