A fantastic purchase!
I cannot say enough about this jacket, I love it! I’m a picky shopper and research everything so I did all the leg work for you (you’re welcome). To start, it has all the features you’d expect in a high end jacket for 1/2 the cost. It’s waterproof, has very high-rated moisture wicking fabric (cheap jackets uses fleece), water proof cuffs with thumb holes, removable snow skirt liner, high collar that covers the zipper (so it’s not hitting your face), a roomy adjustable hood that can accommodate a helmet, thoughtful padding on the lower back, large side vents that have double ended zippers and, of course, the Reco tracker in the arm for emergencies. Pockets: very sturdy TYT zippers, a lot of fleece lined pockets (chest pocket is best for cell phones, arm pocket for ski pass for tap-and-go access to the ski lift). Style: Just look at the picture! This blue is so nice, it stands out on the mountain, my friends could easily see me in a crowd (great for poor cell service) and I got a lot of compliments on it. I looked at higher priced jackets and Northface black is boring and Burton’s are just ugly with the worse pastel pallet I’ve ever seen, bleh, and as an adult, I appreciated the solid color over bold irritating patterns). Real-World Review: I wore this for a ski weekend at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, NY. The day time temps were about 7° with sub-zero temps at the summit, active snow and very windy. It was SUPERB. Much better than the Columbia jacket I retired and was warmer than my Ralph Lauren Parka I was wearing around Olympic Village. Fit: It was perfect! I got a large even though I’m 5’10, 165lbs and normally wear Medium shirts. My layers were a long sleeve under armor, a moisture wicking Nike Running 1/4 zip shirt and snow pant overalls. I was comfortable and warm all day and did not get sweaty and wet inside.

Warm and dry!
I found this jacket to be made of high quality material. While I only wore it for about a week this year it totally kept me warm and dry. Primarily this was worn to go skiing out west and it didn't let me down. One day was really windy on the mountain, another day some real wet snow - no issues what so ever. Every day it was cold (10s - 20s) and underneath this was a tshirt and long johns. I really like the way this looks, great color and overall it's a pretty lightweight jacket. Inside pockets are really nice and the zipper quality throughout the jacket worked extremely well. I am very happy with my purchase of this jacket.

Nice jacket, but needs more insulation up front
Nice jacket, good water and wind proof, my only comment is that it does not have a lot of insulation in the chest area. If you are going to use this for skiing or boarding, you will need something under it for insulation in the front.

Warm not bulky
I have skied in this jacket several times this ski season. It seems to be very well made and it is very warm without being bulky. It is not a shell. It has a good amount of insulation but allows freedom of movement. Plenty of pockets. My only complaint is that the hood is not removable.

Great Winter Gear
Great coat. It was bought for a trip to Japan. It kept my son warm and dry on the slopes and spending days sight seeing in the frigid temps of Sapporo. Would definitely recommend!

True fit, good price, quality materials and build.
Kept me warm and dry on a snowy, icy, very cold Maine ski trip. Wore a fleece pullover and long sleeve Inder Armour t-shirt as base layers. Plenty of pockets. Sleeve ends hane thumb holes. Right side breast pocket has a tethered microfiber cloth for glasses. Snow skirt works well. Wish the hood was detachable. My only gripe so far.

Great ski jacket!
Incredible jacket, waterproof, large pockets and well vented. Only thing I would say if they could design so the hood stayed down when not needed. (Very minor issue) well worth the money
