Effortless English: Learn To Speak English Like A Native

This book is fantastic, as it contains a lot of good advice for ESL students to overcome any fears of speaking English. I am an ESL teacher, and I would also highly recommend this book to other teachers in the field. This book has some great insight that can help teachers significantly improve their pedagogies. Teachers are often so focused on methods of teaching and the structure of the English language, that they forget or aren't aware of the most important aspect of teaching, which is creating a comfortable and positive learning environment for students, and helping them overcome their fears of speaking. Hoge is right- learning a language should be fun and not a chore. This book really puts the teaching and learning of English back into perspective.

I sincerely say that this item is of great value to me. You will learn the psychology of success based upon Neuro-Linguistic Programming. You will also learn simple steps to changing your emotions to motivate yourself for success. I have learned seven important rules for achieving fluency so I highly recommend this item. This book is very informative and boosts my confidence in English Learning. If you have stucked in English for years like me, I highly recommend this book to you.

The charismatic genial A.J.Hodge has done a perfect job in introducing his useful methods for achieving a high fluency in the English language. Self-confidence is a major key to success. Overcoming psychological barriers is indispensible . Listening and reading are the keystones to attaining high proficiency - no doubt. Yet I have some mild reservations regarding A.J.Hoge sweeping remarks about school methods practised in general. Are schools always to blame ? Do they always want their pupils to be passive and inactive during lessons rather than being lively and responsive ? As far as I remember some of my teachers were very enthusiastic about having their pupils talking English in class. Most of them did not like an indifferent class . Is grammar teaching that obssesive as A.J.Hodge claims it to be ? I'm not sure. Although we did study grammar in a way that might be considered tedious in some way ( especially in the low grades of elementary school ) , a great amount of English teaching was focused on stories ,vocabulary, and expressing yourself. Another aspect that must be mentioned is that pupils , in many cases , lack motivation- not that school methods are that bad ! But certainly , I must admit , frontal teaching is not as good as the methods presented in this book. Nice enlightening read !

I just want to led you know that AJ is the best English coach! He clearly understands every problems of learning English, so he knows the ways to help students overcome those problems. I really think everybody who want to learn a new language should read this book,the central idea is the same for what ever language. This book dig deeply in the reason why language learner fail using a traditional method and show you what is the proper way."Learn languages with your ears not with your eyes".To read teach you how write and to listen teach you how speak.

This book is great for new English learners. I bought it almost 4 or 5 months ago. I am learning English still. If you want to understand most of the book and if your level is intermediate, this book is great for you. I memorized a lot of words because I finished 3 times. The language is so easy and i really enjoy when i reading an understanding this book. Effortless English system is so effective for me. Highly reccomend for learners...

Since I first found AJ on the web, my English started improving so fast, I enjoyed learning and I also learned a new philosophy of life and of learning. In this book you will find a new way to learn english. Throw away the old methods of the hidden curriculum (textbooks, grammar, vocabulary lists...). Instead of it, learn english in a novative way (audiobooks, books, listening, speaking...). I recommend this book without hesitation !

I bought this book for a relative, and he really enjoyed it. He found it easy to read and understand, and it motivated him to keep learning. He later switched to the audiobook version and even started following AJ Hoge’s podcast on Spotify. It’s a great resource for English learners.
