Perfect shielding tape for restoring my old Telecaster
I used this copper foil tape while rebuilding a 2005 Fender Highway One Telecaster that I recently brought back to life. Before installing new electronics (pots, switch, and a set of Fender Texas Special pickups), I wanted proper shielding — and this tape worked flawlessly. What I liked: The adhesive is truly conductive Sticks extremely well to wood cavities Easy to cut, shape, and layer Soldering to it is clean and reliable Provides excellent EMI shielding for single-coil pickups My old relic’d Tele is now quiet, tight, and professionally shielded. Great product — absolutely worth it for any guitar restoration or upgrade.

Great value, easy to apply, QUALITY product, and it fixed my issue even better than I imagined!
I am extremely happy today! My Strat with Texas Specials was very noisy. It would be worse in certain positions, and I’d have to rotate a certain angle while playing for it to go away. It made playing with overdrive pedals a nightmare as you can imagine. Took me about an hour and a half to completely shield the main Strat cavity and at the input jack. The tape is a little thin but not enough to rip too easily when applying, and if it accidentally sticks to itself, it’s not impossible to gently peel it apart without tearing it. It wasn’t that hard to shield the whole guitar cavity—(I recommend cutting it into 1” x 3” strips and doing little by little). I’m also very happy because there’s plenty copper left to shield more guitars. Luthiers charge $50+ for this service—if you’re fairly competent with electric guitars and have opened yours up before and put it back together, you can figure this out! Then I reassembled it and VOILA! I can now play at positions 1, 3, and 5 (the sweet spots). My Strat never sounded so good! I almost cried I was so happy with the tones I’m getting now. This guitar is now so sexy it may sleep in bed with me tonight!

Electrical shielding for guitars, excellent choice.
There is nothing I can think of negative to say about this product. I use it to shield electrical interference of the guitars I build, and its so easy and slick, you'd think new ones would have it installed from the factories, but you know, if they can save a dime on each guitar they build, they will even if it means you get something inferior in its place, but they take their cue from the car manufactures and tell you how great they build everything when in fact they are built as cheaply as possible. But use gloves, it is capable of producing horrendous tiny cuts that you don't notice until you use hand sanitizer and after you are done screaming in pain long enough to look, you find twenty tiny cuts on your fingers... But it is so easy to use, rip a chunk off and stuff it into a pickup cavity and just push it into the bottom and sides, missed a spot, tear off a chunks twice the size and toss it in there and push it to form around the corners. There is no need to worry about continuity, the adhesive works like it should, it is easy to just use anything rounded to press it in place and smooth it out, it looks pretty cool when you are done, run a strip to contact the back of the pickguard and that should be covered almost to the edges, this effectively gives the pots the ground they need, no need to run so many ground wires, and on top of it all, you can easily solder wires to it wherever you need them. It is a great product and I can't recommend it more than I already do, but damn, remember to wear gloves.

Some damage to the roll but most of it is working and useable!
This stuff is flexible and it will stick. The adhesive is good and can be somewhat fragile. The stickiness can be difficult if you have to get into tight spaces. I had recently copper shielded my Leo jaymz LP that needed it. The internal pockets looks so much better afterwards and interference is lower. Tested this after turning off my noise gate. I have alot left over and will be shielding all of my guitars until its gone

STOPS SNAILS!
We were at our wits end trying to find a humane solution to the snails which had suddenly decided that our lilies were their favorite food. Then we read online that they hate copper and will not cross it as it gives a mild shock to their system. For just a few dollars this was an unexpected success. We placed the copper tape on the wall around the plants and, so far, no more night snacks for the snails.

Pretty Color
I chose this product to use as shielding in the electrical cavity of a bass guitar I’m restoring. Radio interference and ground hum through the pickups is very disruptive when performing on stage so my research indicated that this process should prevent the unwanted noises. This tape was very easy to work with and made the application process very simple. I recommend this to anyone who has a project that could benefit from its intended purpose.

LOVIMAG Copper Foil Tape for Guitar Shielding
I bought this LOVIMAG tape specifically to shield the control and pickup cavities of my S-style electric guitar. It works great and completely eliminated the noise! Using this tape was a great experience. The 2-inch width was perfect for getting good, solid coverage quickly inside the tight spaces. The foil itself is nice and thick—it's not flimsy like some cheaper tapes that tear easily. The most crucial part is the conductive adhesive. I was able to test continuity across the seams where the tape overlapped, and it worked perfectly, creating a single, continuous shield. This is what you need to make sure your faraday cage is actually effective. After soldering the last connection and putting the guitar back together, the hum is virtually gone, even in my noisy apartment. Highly recommend this for any home guitar tech looking to clean up their signal chain.

Conductive on both sides
It has great adhesion and the sticky side is conductive so there is no need to solder the individual strips together if they touch. Used it to shield a guitar, but you may want to get the 1 inch wide for that job since I had to cut strips out of the 3 inch one to fit the cavities. I highly recommend it to get rid of the dreaded 60 cycle hum.

Very Thin and Delicate
If possible, adhesive quality should be improved. otherwise overall quality is decent.
