My hairdresser told me about this after I shared with her I wanted more hair growth. She said it’s brilliant for helping hair grow stronger and healthier , it was originally made for horses, which says a lot about how nourishing it is! She’s used it for six months and her hair has grown loads and looks so glossy, she looks stunning! Her sister has used it for years and her hair is stunning too, so I had to try it! After just a few washes, my hair feels softer, thicker, and much cleaner between washes. It gives a lovely fresh feel without any heavy residue, and you only need a small amount each time. It’s safe to use on extensions if you massage the shampoo into the scalp and let the suds run through the hair rather than scrubbing into locks, and the conditioner is ok to go on the lower hair but avoid the tapes and bonds. I’m really impressed so far and excited to keep using it, I can already see why so many people swear by it! Worth every penny as I was paying double for the same size bottles of another product and this is better!

Noticed the difference after the first wash!!! not sure what long term use is like but I’ve never been so impressed but a shampoo and conditioner IN MY LIFE!!

I bought this, like so many others, to try and grow out my hair - I got it cut to two inches below my chin in summer 2013, and hated it, so, back in July, after growing it for a good 10 months, I decided to try and speed up the process, and, whilst it may be my imagination, it has actually grown quicker!! My hair grows pretty fast anyway, but this has just improved the condition so, so much. It hasn't felt weighed down, greasy or flat, which a lot of shampoos can do to my hair. The shampoo itself is just amazing - it smells so clean and my hair feels so soft afterwards. I think the conditioner is the best part, though. My hair is really thick, so I have to use a lot to get it to go through, but the Mane 'n' Tail leaves it feeling really soft without any of that horrible residue, so my hair is protected from breakage and strengthened, which helps it grow faster. This was probably coupled with the fact that I stopped using all heat on my hair, and left the conditioner in for 2 minutes to let it absorb and sink in. My fringe grew from being just on my eyebrows to the bottom of my nose, so a good two inches in about 2 and a half months, but again I think this is because I coupled the Mane 'n' Tail with not using heat etc. Also, it's worth rotating your shampoos, so use a bottle of this, and then go back to your old shampoo to keep the Mane 'n' Tail effective, as mine seems to be less effective the more I've used it. I will say this though: even if you're not growing your hair out, it's worth getting because it's just a really amazing shampoo!!

UPDATE-It has been 2 months of using the shampoo and conditioner and I have noticed my hair grew faster than ever before. I chopped off split ends and within a few weeks I already see that my hair almost grew to its past length. Don't take into account the bad reviews, just give it a try and you will be amazed yourself. TIP: Check on recent reviews rather than what you first see on reviews page. 5*Becasuse - Shampoo makes hair strong and Conditioner makes them soft, also the percentage of wax in the conditioner helps hair create a natural protective film against heat such as flat irons. TRUE REVIEW - Mane 'n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner - First time I used the product today and I must say I am AMAZED, by the quality of my hair, how soft, clean and shiny they are! I never want to use another shampoo/conditioner again! Great value for money! And of course I will order again and again! This is a true and honest review,I bought them of course, I had never purchased any shampoo/conditioner online before and I did now because of the too many positive reviews which are absolutely true! I want to grow my hair long and I feel that this product is really going to help!

Have used the blue version a couple of years ago & loved it, after numerous research I have returned to Mane & Tail. Bought from Amazon UK only so assured of its genuity & in excellent 2 day delivery time,well done Amazon!. Now here's my reason for buying it. A hormonal problem is creating havoc with my hair, growth & thinning became issues,thus after years of having thick long blonde wavy/curly hair I chopped it off & dyed it red...I hated it. As it slowly grew I knew I would revert to blonde & in doing so over time the bleach did it's worst! It is still not perfectly blonde either,blast that red!. So as you can imagine I have used all manner of the best and the worst products,& I can tell as soon as the towel is off my hair what the outcome is going to be, the waves & curls will automatically appear,if I don't get this then the product isn't right for my hair! So my very 1st wash with these 2- MnT original brought out the waves/curls,I also used the strengthener & detangler combed a little of each through damp hair. I always air dry my hair if possible & if you could see it now it has dried big bouncy and curly wow. Yet it feels slightly dry,hence the 4 stars,as my hair has been damaged /bleached etc I feel I may need the deep moisture version,& will update the review accordingly. I will add the only other product to produce the curls etc in this way was Aussie reconstructor,which has been an absolute god send after all my bleachings in the past. I do use the coconut oil etc etc yet looking for a staple diet of shamps & cond to use weekly,have tried Tigi,Redken,Ojon to name but a few,Yet none have performed on my hair as this has done,so I am sticking with MnT for the present.
