Downgrade from original
flimsy and cheap feeling, No programmable LED (minor), No longer includes a wireless dongle (major issue), You need to use two USB ports now, one for the mat and one for the mouse. Not readable to G Hub (minor annoyance). Not backwards compatible (coin doesn't work on Powerplay 1 mats). This will not replace the original and will probably end up in a drawer or I'll send it back. Either way, it's really not worth the cost.I'll rate this a 1/10 and probably closer to 0.5/10 for all the downgrades.

Full surface area charging.
I’ve seen people complaining that the mousepad doesn’t connect wirelessly. I do not know what Powerplay pad they had before but that was never a feature. I do miss the Logitech symbol lighting up but that’s okay. The fact this pad uses the entire surface area to charge is amazing. The cloth pad is removable as well. Maybe Logitech plans to make a hard pad later on that can be purchased later. It keeps my mouse charged and seems like it charges faster than the Powerplay pad previously. All in all I do like this mouse pad and recommend it to others that use Logitech mice.

NOT BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL, IT'S WORSE
The powerplay 2 mousepad is a huge downgrade. It no longer comes with the hard mouse pad, no built in receiver and no more RGB. Big mistake not reading the changes before purchasing. Its going back.

Worse in quite literally every single way than the original except one
They've managed to downgrade every single aspect of the original powerplay except for one. There's no more wireless receiver for the mouse built in, which means you need two usb ports to use this. Something they could have helped by adding a usb port to the top of the hub so you could at least plug your mouse in there, but chose not to do to save cost (wow thanks for the measly $20 discount). They made the cable built in so you better hope you never need to replace the cable. They made the mouse puck 2g heavier (seriously how did they even manage this one) which doesn't sound like a big deal but if you use an ultralight you'll notice the difference. Oh you also can't use the original puck with it because that'd be convenient. The rubber feet on the bottom of the pad are HORRIBLE compared to the original, it slides around so much and this is fresh out of the box, it can only get worse as the rubber gets dirty over time. And last but not least they lied. The powerplay 2 isn't thinner than the original, the included mouse pad you use on top is. They just straight up lied, the product itself is the same thickness as the original, they could have just included the new cloth pad with the powerplay 1.This is the future of Logitech, lower quality, same prices. It was good while it lasted but I'm definitely steering clear of Logitech from now on. Can't wait for this to break the second the warranty runs out.

Significant downgrade over the original PowerPlay
This only functions as a charging mat!No integrated lightspeed receiver,No programmable RGB illuminated logo,Only one soft and simple mousepad option. If you can, get the original powerplay which can replace the USB receiver for your mouse, so you only need one USB port for the charging pad and mouse, it comes with two higher quality mousing surfaces - one soft and one rigid.

Overpriced junk and does not work
The item I received was defective. The led light was on but it would not charge the mouse. Logitech tech support is so understaffed and overloaded with issues that there was no response when I tried to reach support. 20 minutes on hold then booted.Combine that with the fact they removed the wireless receiver from the version 2 and didn't even provide a usb port for a dongle, makes this a return for my money back for me.

Definite QOL upgrade from the first edition power play mat
Never have to worry about charging and accuracy is perfect. The mouse pad is nice and smooth fabric that it's satisfying to glide the mouse across. This is better than the first edition since the mouse pad itself is not attached to the electronics, so can easily remove the fabric pad to wash. They did remove the LED on the logo, so instead of that there's a small indicator light to indicate it's plugged in. Setup was a breeze and i've very happy overall as a user of the first edition power play mat for 5+ years.

Returned it after being able to buy the original powerplay somewhere else
I bought this because the original powerplay wasn't available, thinking it would be at least on par with the original or better. But no.The mousepad that comes with this is flimsy and raises on the sides of the charging pad, there is no wireless receiver, no rgb, and no extra hard mousepad.I bought the original powerplay on ebay after returning this and couldn't be happier with it.The Powerplay 2 is nothing more than a cheap replacement to cut back on costs and take the original, higher quality Powerplay off sale.
