I bought these chips because a Japanese friend said they wrecked her favorite chips. They are indeed tasty.

I was gifted these because durian is my favorite fruit. Durian usually announces itself from across the room, before the bag is even opened. But these announced nothing except disappointment AFTER opening the bag. They smelled like vegetable oil and tasted like a potato chip or some starchy vegetable that wasn’t even trying to cosplay as fruit. No sweetness, no chew, just a crispy crunch and salt. If this is durian, it’s in witness protection.

Just like the ones I had in Thailand! Not to be mistaken with freeze dried durian. This tastes like a heartier potato chip. So good. I'm sooo happy I can buy this on Amazon now when I crave it and not have to beg anyone going to Thailand to buy it for me or make a trip there myself.

Quality is fine but they don’t taste or smell like durian. They’re basically taste like very expensive potato chips.
