does a good job. I am using it with the ultimate 2c which doesn't have the notches for the pegs on the sides of the charging port but it still does a good job holding it. and since there is no other option for this controller currently I just cut them off with some flush cut snips

This controller clip from 8BitDo is a good choice for anyone using the Ultimate 2 Controller with their smartphone. The construction feels nice and combines aluminum and ABS plastic. While the construction feels nice it does feel a bit flimsy in some areas, especially when supporting larger phones.The expanding grip handles phones from 49mm to 85mm wide, which easily accommodates most modern devices. Attaching it to the controller is simple and once it’s in place, everything feels well-balanced in the hand.Overall, it’s a functional phone mount that complements the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Controller well, especially for gaming on the go.

Got this so I can play my games on my phone with a controller. I had it on for only one hour before it just snapped off. The amount of the clamp piece was under was too much, and the plastic just flew off.Guess you get what you pay for.

I have a feeling some people are using this on the wrong 8bitdo controller going by some of the other reviews.Before buying this, make sure you have the "8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller for Windows & Android, Gaming Controller with TMR Joysticks, Switchable Hall Effect/Tactile Triggers, RGB Fire Ring, 8Speed Wireless Tech", as it's listed here on Amazon.Positives:-Works as advertised by 8bitdo, easily holding my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra firmly.-Easily attaches to the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 requiring little force and thus not damaging the controller.-Two screws can be loosened so you can adjust the angle of your phone.-Doesn't obstruct the USB-C port.-Feels well made, should hold up to being removed from your controller and adding/removing your phone from the grip.Negatives:-You have to remove this to change the BT switch on the back and to charge with the official cradle.Considerations:-Depending on button placement, some phone may end up being slightly off-center in the grip. With my phone, I have to have it a bit to the left due to the power button. Not really an issue.Overall:-For $14.99 (when reviewed), this just works. So I have a whole slew of controllers to test this with and it was a bit temperamental with most of the 8BitDo controllers. It did not fit any of the original 8BD Ultimate Controllers nor did it fit any of the brand new TMR Ultimates. But if you have the Ultimate 2 BT only controllers (not the 2.4GHz) this fits like a charm. That being said, it is very, VERY weak at the parts that connect to the controller and I have no doubt that after maybe 2-3 changes, it will snap. It fits quite snugly once you find the perfect match for it and will hold up to a large sized smart phone (Pictured with it is the Razer Edge screen). I really don't like the way it holds the screen in place as it does limit the ability to hit some of the buttons.

The first version was better. I don’t like how this one doesn’t have two adjustments. In these pictures will show you what I mean. Seems like they downgraded. I hope they see this and either bring it back or make a third version that has the two adjustments. I don’t like the other clips on the market. The one I own is the best one I can find. And I want the option to be able to buy another one if case something happens to mine. So please at least bring back the first version where people can buy it.

Its not the best out there. This can be a hood alternative when you want to play games on your phone with a controller you have lying around. It is a bit flimsy. Installation is quite easy but I just don't like how the weight is distributed.

It doesn't fit on my 8bitdo Ultimate gamepad. Pressing it any more may lead to breaking so I didn't try to force it. May be it's only for 8bitdo Ultimate 2.
